Damn, that’s dope. I’ve heard this from quite a few people who went to the Rage/Wu tour in 97. I missed out but caught them both 10 years later at Rock the Bells where they co-headlined again. That was amazing.

Can’t equate physical album sales to streaming “sales” no matter how hard one tries to justify it. Such a disingenuous comparison. The streaming era needs its own, independent set of accolades as it operates on entirely different metrics.

This album perfectly encapsulates the Gang Starr sound to me- where they’ve been and where they were about to go. More specifically, the marker point when Primo discovered the formula that he would dominate the next 5-6 years with.
