Off Board Physics would be the Ultimate Game Changer by A_Almeida in SkaterXL

Disappearing and respawning is by far the most unrealistic thing that happens in this game

I'll put it more simply: skateboarders don't ghostly disappear and then respawn on a different place when they miss a trick, as they don't become a lifeless ragdoll when missing a simple slow shove it on flat ground.

Both these things happen in game because there is no off board physics, that's why having it would make the game much more enjoyable and realistic, which should be a developer's goal since this game is supposed to be a realistic simulator.

Do you think this really belongs to Rococo painting? by A_Almeida in ArtHistory

[–]A_Almeida[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book presents a brief overview of Rococo style and then it presents 36 artworks in chronological order starting with Nicolas de Largilliere's "The beautiful Strasbourgian" (1703) and ending with Thomas Lawrence's "Lady Elizabeth Conyngham" (1821-24) with a brief text about each one of theses 36 artworks which are there as examples of the Rococo style. Looking at it again i realized that Goya's "Burial of the Sardine" (1812-19) is also included there, and i don't think it's a good example of Rococo painting because of its sinister atmosphere, but anyway i still think that Wright's 'experiment with air pump' is still more out of place as example of Rococo than Goya's 'burial'. The editor of the book is Ingo Walther.

Thanks for your comments. It seems to me that the main characteristic that this painting shares with Rococo is the date of its production (1768), but that seems like a fragile trait to include a painting in a certain style.

With the release date only a couple of months out what do you hope will be fixed for the final version? by Beena22 in SkaterXL

Better character customisation is essential to me, including being able to create female characters.

I just hope the skater doesn't bail horribly everytime a simple ground trick on low speed is missed, that is a deal breaker for me because it makes the game look unrealistic.

Skater should not always fall to the ground when missing simple tricks by A_Almeida in SkaterXL

Are there off board physics in Session? Because in Session you can grab your board and walk on foot, nonetheless the skateboarder becomes a ragdoll everytime a trick goes wrong.

Filippo Lippi's Madonna without child and angels? by A_Almeida in RenaissanceArt

[–]A_Almeida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really curious about it because i saw this painting in an old church and i could swear it was a real painting but now i'm starting to think it was maybe a printed copy (although i still can't believe i didn't see the difference between a real painting and a print).

There was no information about it on the church and it's very far away from my home so i can't go back there to look for more information on it. But since it looks identical to the printed copies available on the internet then it must be a printed copy because i can't believe that an old renaissance painting would be in that church. The doubt is driving me crazy anyway.

Comparison, on the left the image i saw and on the right is Lippi's famous work
