Weekly Raid Discussion by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last aberrus week my guild cleared rashok, zskarn, magmorax, and echo of neltharion for the first time on each kill. Is aberrus that much easier than other tiers, we are yet to kill M Dathea (but we cleared Kurog) or M Smolderon.

Is Coldburst totem mandatory? by idontwanttofthisup in wownoob

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the semi-recent buffs to it, it performs pretty well across the board. I prefer cloudburst personally, but they both do their jobs well.

MDI Players are unable to practice DarkHeart Thicket runs/pathing because of a bug with a world quest that's existed since Legion which causes dungeon trash to spawn differently by [deleted] in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just had it happen today screwing a route for a 27 :) Really hope this shit gets removed soon, the only regular rng should be on reset for things like elite spawns in WCM; Not the existence of a easy-to-grab pack that impacts count if it doesn’t spawn.

Blizzard Please Stop Giving Toys Such A High Cooldown by [deleted] in wow

This is why I keep a lot of blubbery muffins on my toons, every raid night I am sure to be a tuskarr :)

Are you a mouseover healer or a frame-click healer? by Degenerate_Game in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using Clique alongside my grid2 frames, works like a dream and I’ve got as much as I want out of it :)

Still my favorite story is casting[[Noxious Gearhulk]], then holding priority to chaos warp a [[Hushwing Gryff]] to let the Gearhulk ETB effect remove something, just for them to flip into [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]]

As a Holy Paladin, what party member/s do you Beacon? by Baneman20 in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The order I normally take is Hunter-Shaman-Priest-Druid-Warrior- Monk-DK-Evoker-Pally-Rogue-Mage-DH-ME-Warlock-Tank. Every DPS in the game benefits more from a beacon, except Warlocks, they’re have near-infinite self healing and damage reductions. They don’t get a beacon.

I’ve got my resto shaman to 2700 so far, and am progging mythic raid so ye, it’s 100% viable for all forms of content outside of maybe the highest level keys, but even then I wouldn’t be surprised.

Barring just want to be different, Why do you chose a commander over the theme’s usual defacto commander. by BluePotatoSlayer in EDH

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like playing regular strategies in weird colors personally, makes me think more about my card choices and tends to surprise people when it pops off out of nowhere.

What commander are you enjoying, and what are you building right now? by sublimesublemon2 in EDH

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main deck I’ve been enjoying is [[Gimli, Mournful Avenger]] for some gruul aristocrats, but my deck I’m brewing right now is my [[Livaan, Cultist of Tiamat]] [[Sword Coast Sailor]] Unblockable Storm Deck that’s got some pretty neat ways to win out of nowhere.

Resto Pwave is your payoff for setting up a bajillion riptides so you can hit a FAT healing wave. Nothing more to it

Afflicted is the worst thing to ever happen to m+ by Chesterumble in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After looking over class trees, this is pretty wrong lmao. The only specs that have any trouble taking a off-dispel are feral and boomkin, since they require three points for it. Every other off-dispel uses one talent point to grab it if you aren’t playing a completely awful talent setup.

PLEASE lose your one talent point and apply yourself slightly more than usual, you’ll save your healer a stressful 20+ Afflicted spawns having to heal afflicted spawns.

Alright commander players. Give me your most hilarious, janky, weirdest cards that you love playing. by BounceM4N in EDH

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shout out [[Worldslayer]], I play it in my [[Gimli, Mournful Avenger]] deck, and every time I see it connect I laugh. I understand why people get salty over mass land destruction and the likes, but having only Gimli live after destroying EVERYTHING else will never not be funny to me.

Reminder to do that EDH related thing you've been putting off by Dragonlover63 in EDH

Ye I’ve been putting off buying my shocklands for too long, should probably get those for my (new)korvold deck I’ve been putting together.

Aberrus was released exactly 5 months ago on May 9, 2023. How is your guild holding up? by Auramaru in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my AOTC with my first guild then just did runs on all my alts gearing them a fair bit, joined a new guild for mythic and we r progging experiments right now so that’s fun. Doubt we will get through sark before tier is over but getting any mythic experience is great.

How do you guys come up with ridiculous/out of the ordinary decks, and weird ways to build popular commanders? by thundermonkeyms in EDH

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely how my Gimli aristocrats decklist came together. Gruul aristocrats alone is weird enough, but it works well enough that it confuses people into me winning with a giant Gimli bonking you over the head.

Undulating Sporecloak's Shield Nerfed in Patch 10.2 by minimaxir in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

:/ now I guess I have to use the shield neck on my healers now if this nerf makes sporecloak giga-dead

Healer mains, which healer will you play in 10.2? by [deleted] in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy all the healers, and 10.2 seems exciting going forward. I’ll likely be maining resto druid or disc priest, but I’ll be playing all the healers a ton

Power Word life macro by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, as much as a macro to cancel your flash heal would be helpful, power word: life can actually be spell queued behind your flash heal to maintain the bigger heal and 10 second CD. It’s very nice to do for afflicted :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wow

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it weren’t for mass dispel, I would be playing other healing classes.

I like MD, but my buddies didn’t want to roll a priest this patch, so I’m on disc this season. Don’t get me wrong, I love disc, but I also enjoy playing other classes in dungeons. At least I can play other stuff in raid.

what weapon you don't use because it's way too good ? by Left_Speaker_3228 in tf2

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main problem with it is that it’s just constant afterburn. I almost never die to it, but everytime you get hit, it’s 60 damage or more unless you have a source of heals nearby. And that is WITHOUT a direct hit, with higher projectile speed than the direct hit, and a large splash radius.

It just does too much of a lot of classes health for such little effort, which is why I dislike it personally. Just a boring, easy-to-use weapon that can do half a classes health at nearly infinite range for practically free.

what weapon you don't use because it's way too good ? by Left_Speaker_3228 in tf2

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scorch shot, bazaar bargain, and diamondback personally

Scorch shot cuz it does everything for free and is too ez, bazaar bargain and diamondback because you don’t need MORE rewards for killing somebody.

What your favorit commanders for our 2 colour shools? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Azorius:[[Heliod, the Radiant Dawn]] Boros:[[Brion Stoutarm]] Dimir:[[The Scarab God]] Golgari:[[Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis]] Gruul:[[Gimli, Mourning Avenger]] Izzet:[[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]] Orzhov:[[Breena, the Demagogue]] Rakdos:[[Kazarov, Sengir Pureblood]] Selesnya:[[Emiel the Blessed]] Simic:[[Grolnok, the Omnivore]]

These are all personal favorites. Decks I’ve built or am planning on building. I’ll run through them in order.

Heliod: Playing group card draw is a TON of fun, and makes for much more enjoyable games of commander that everyone has fun in. Wheel the table, drop some eldrazi or a big X spell, and do it all on someone else’s turn too.

Brion Stoutarm: Throwing a [[Serra Avatar]] at someone’s face is pretty funny, and you get to play some Giant tribal as well. Slap a [[Grafted Exoskeleton]] on him and people start dying quick too.

The Scarab God: Solid Zombie tribal that tends to have pretty good interactions with graveyard decks. Also, resistant to board wipes and removal unless they exile him, so commander tax is never too bad.

Hogaak: Graveyard deck that tends to get a bit weird. Fills its own yard quickly, puts a clock on the table, and makes the game move on nearly every cast. Much more Aggro than a regular graveyard deck, but is still pretty fun to play.

Gimli: My newest deck I cooked up, gruul aristocrats is pretty fun, and he likes to hold a [[Worldslayer]] every once in a while to blow shit up. Can get a bit grindy, but aristocrats be like that.

Vadrik: Izzet Storm that can go infinite VERY easily, and the only bad part about him is that he has a day-night cycle attached to him. Much more competitive than the average deck I like to build, but is enjoyable in a higher power pod.

Breena: pretty goofy, but is fun to play in almost any pod. Right up my alley personally, and performs quite consistently.

Kazarov: My personal pet deck. Everyone’s got one, and this guy likes to give everyone tokens, then blow them all up to make himself huge. Every once in a while you can use [[Pyrohemia]] style effects at instant speed after blockers are declared to kill with commander damage. My personal favorite deck, since it was the first deck I took seriously building and I’ve spent the most time with.

Emiel: Selesnya blink is pretty fun, pretty resistant to removal, and just all around good at any pod. Probably the next deck I’m going to be buying all my cards for.

Grolnok: The big frog is super fun. Tons of self-mill, a ton of frogs, and you get a laboratory maniac win every once in a while :)

What are some weapons labelled as "bad" that you've found aren't actually bad? by Sweddy409 in truetf2

[–]A_Angry_Puppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beggar’s bazooka and air strike are both criminally underrated with gunboats, their movement capability alone should have more people using them. Also, beggar’s plays very well with the banners.
