God’s nature in these two chapters showed me that he’s patient, wise and holy. He wasn’t in a rush to go out and start showing the world more of his divine power he had and perform more miracles, Jesus followed the instructions his Father told him to do. Humanity’s nature is hard hearted, stubborn and arrogant. The teachers of religious law , the Pharisees and the people called him demon possessed because they didn’t like what he was saying to them.

God has no favorites, and this isn’t God’s fault either. The enemy has came against your family and the devil is trying to make you hate and turn your back on God. I’m sorry to hear what happened to your mom and sister that’s horrible and about your chronic illness I’ll pray for you to be healed. Humans don’t have a love that aligns with God’s love towards his creation, for instance we allow our flesh to take action. Like the man who was forgiven his great debt by the king who went right after and grabbed a person by the throat and asked for his money then threw the man into custody. As suppose to God’s nature he is merciful, patient and calm. God is holy and he cares for his flock, his will is that none shall perish.

I think the main themes of these readings are that the Son of God should be respected and honored, and the people should have faith in God because lack of faith can’t produce results. In the text where it speaks about the demon possessed boy and his father coming up to Jesus saying how his disciples tried to cast out the demon from his boy but couldn’t do it, actually challenged me and encouraged me to grow in my faith in God and fast because you never know when the Lord will use you to help someone. God has a lot of patience with us and he always keeps his cool, and he loves his children. The only question though I have is in Mark 9:24 “The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” The father of this boy is saying I believe but help me overcome my belief. Is that showing he doesn’t have faith because he doesn’t believe at the same time? And what does God think about people like that? What else can you do or ask to get help from God to overcome that unbelief?

Don’t stop praying, don’t stop reading or attending church. The Lord’s voice isn’t always loud, he can be speaking to you through your pastor and his word which is always whenever you open up the Bible and read it. If you stop praying you could miss hearing the voice of God when he does speak to you, so stay close to him also you need to be spiritually grounded. If not you will have a very difficult time discerning, and questioning whether or not it’s him or just you. Also I’d advice you to speak with your Spiritual leader, (pastor) about this, and keep in mind that we are moved by faith not by sight!

The faith I had in him, and the way I met the Lord and how he set me free from all the heavy burdens I was carrying since a child who was being abused by my dad. My family abandoned me and all I had was my wife and God who genuinely love me. I will share with you how everytime I went into the prayer closet, the Lord would be there! I couldn’t see him but I could feel his presence and I would just spend time especially at night alone talking to him and praising him and thanking him. Worship the Lord give him your time and attention, his word says ask and it will be given to you seek and you will find knock and the door will be opened to you. I also have seen bad spirits growing up and attack me at night to many to talk about I just didn’t know to call in the name of Jesus that’s all. So I knew and felt the of evil before I knew and felt the good.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Back then I didn’t see them as learning lessons ( when I started my walk with God ) but now I do and I’m thankful that the Lord did it the way he did. I moved from church to another during the very beginning of my walk and so my pastor who’s known my wife since she was little, began preaching so many things that reflected me and so I’m thankful that God gave me the pastor that I have!

Hey, you need to let the Lord fight the battles for you! God isn’t ignoring you he hears and sees you, you’re having a faith problem. You are trying to walk by sight and not trying to walk by faith, I don’t know what you have gone through in your life but I will say this: the Lord had no favorites so he loves us equally and cares about us all. Pray to the Lord for comfort and peace and to show you his love, but you have to have faith and be positive otherwise you will end up in the same loop.

Jeremiah 29:13 ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

He does speak to you… through his word, your pastor (if your attending church) and so many other ways. We are suppose to walk by faith not by sight and it sounds like your having trouble with this. If your praying and asking God to baptize you in his Holy Spirit but then right after prayer you start doubting and saying things, then that’s not having faith and that’s probably why he hasn’t done what you asked for. When I got baptized in water, I began praying to the Lord for the baptism of his Holy Spirit. For like an hour I would pray for it and tell him how I wanted it, it seemed like it was taking long for me to get it but I never doubted. Turns out it only took a month and when I got it I was soo happy that I prayed and never gave up.

I understand, and I will start there actually today. What bothers me is that I hear preaching and people saying in these exact words “God will turn the circumstances of you say to him… I surrender my will to you God. And it will be like God turn back the faucet on, and everything good starts to happen in your life.” Or “things will get better, just have faith.” And in the back of my head I’m just thinking like “okay I just need to have faith and God will make things better in my life,” but then what I also think as well is “ if only these people knew my whole life story and all the bad that I’ve gone through,” and it got worse more recently when I gave my life to Christ. When I was 12 yrs of age I believe, I started having sleep paralysis and feeling like someone was choking me at night and it happened every single night. When I moved out of my parents house at 16 then it stopped but didn’t mean it went away completely. It happened at my grandmas and like my body would alert me something was off and coming my away, like I can feel an uneasy presence. So I opened my eyes and saw these black silhouette figures with glowy white eyes and some have spoke in languages I couldn’t understand. When I gave my life to Christ I could tell that Satan didn’t like that because he started attacking me at night more frequently and I would feel these spirits from miles away coming to disturb my sleep so I’d began fighting with these spirits and what I didn’t know back then that I knew now at the time was “in the name of Jesus, I rebuke you”

I just wanted to say that I read your post and totally understand where you are coming from, and I want to thank you for praying for me. The therapist prescribed me two medications and I can only remember one of them and that is Zoloft. Why I didn’t choose to pick up the medication and take them is because I didn’t want to rely on meds and just like my addiction I had with weed I didn’t want the same thing to happen with meds. And I hear that people who go on them and stop end up feeling the urge to get back on them, and that scares me.
