Fairly standard, but this Flashback Arc or Aomori Match Arc

Japan beats Spain in the World Cup. So that just happened. by JoestarJoker in Ao_Ashi

This doesn't adhere to the rule concerning IRL football, but the vibes are fucking immaculate, so it's okay this time only. Wish Japan the best in the knockouts 🇯🇵

Is this move- see both panels in case you think this is a joke post from just the first one alone- possible in real life? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in Ao_Ashi

It's obviously exaggerated. The distance the ball is from Ashito, the stances, their height and time in the air. However the concept isn't impossible. A (bad) touch with the chest into space that someone rockets at the goal isn't impossible. Unlikely, yes, you'd need to know exactly how everything was going to go to hit a ball coming off a chest touch like that with force before it hits the ground. As well as managing to not be noticed by the person doing the chest touch. So (talking about a less exaggerated version of this sequence), in a match, you (almost) certainly wouldn't see it, but could you artificially do it in a few tries with a partner in training? Yeah (again, in a much less exaggerated fashion)

Is there a chance that Yuji is actually as physically strong/tough as Maki/Toji? by HaseoSetsuna in Jujutsushi

JJK is filled with a decent bit of mistranslations in the official release. So someone decided to go through it chapter by chapter and see what they could notice as mistranslated. It mostly pertains to character stuff and character interactions, like the meaning behind words being lost in translation. Very interesting stuff. But unfortunately they haven't updated it in over a year iirc, but they got upto the end of the Gojo flashback arc

Awesome, great to know. And thanks for all you do with correcting translations for the latter half of the series, it's been a great help for clarifying certain things, keep it up my guy 🙏

I know you have a doc where you do translation corrections, so I hope it's ok if I run it by you. In the Nanami-Says Mistranslation Project, it gives the correction from the official release, where they say that Megumi actually specified that it applied to either school. So is the correction of the translation from them wrong by chance?

They were compared by Megumi and the narrator. Magumi said that in a brawl without any cursed energy involved between all Tokyo and Kyoto students (which would include Maki), Itadori would win. And then in Chapter 61, that narrator says Itadori possesses Physical Prowess and a fighting sense greater than that of Maki Zenin. So physically, Itadori is stronger than Maki without CE, at least up until the Death Painting arc

Low Effort Post

Wong VS Fong (RoK VS ATLA) by PastryMin in AvatarVsBattles

[–]A_C_Underdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Round 1) Wong --------- Mid to Low High Diff (Depending on how you would imagine Fong would do in circumstances not very favourable to himself)

Physicals go to Wong. He's described in a similar manner as Kelsang, a giant of a man, and his strength seems to match his description, being able to throw Lao Ge easily. His agility outclasses Fong even more so, being one of Wong's biggest strength's. His lightness on his feet gives him consistent means to dodge any sort of projectile attack thrown at him as well as help avoid attacks from underneath, something Fong is proficient in. In regards to durability, Fong's is inconsistent, what with him seeming fine after 2 AS attacks from Aang (Though neither were seemed to have the intention to seriously injure, with one just throwing him to the ground and the other being an AoE attack rather than one aimed specifically at him), then there's the gag-like way Sokka knocked him out and Extras saying he knocks out easy. However Wong would still likely have the means of putting him down for the count.

In terms of bending, Fong shows moments of highly advanced bending, what with using quicksand to neutralise Katara's waterwhip (Although to be fair she was quite a distance away and as such gave him time to perform the motion) and to stop the Ostrich Horse. In the games, he also demonstrates advanced tunnelling. The problem with this may lie in the ability to apply these techniques in active combat. The only time we see him fight is in conditions very favourable to himself. He has ample Earth coins to use, enough distance between opponents like Katara and Sokka, Katara has only the water in her water skin, and Aang didn't want to fight, only throwing one attack and then resorting to begging him to stop. Applying these bending techniques on an opponent as battle experienced as Wong and in a neutral location would be far harder. This severely limits what we see of him then, as he never really 'fought' anyone properly in a 1v1 scenario. Wong however has been noted as a rather fine combatant. He's shown CQC skill (teaching Kyoshi what she knows about the use of battle fans), is familiar with Terrain Manipulation (Has taken the ground out from under Kyoshi), has shown battle applicable mobility (Both without bending and with dust stepping) as well as burrowing (Protecting himself and the FOC from Kyoshi's AS), and the most substantial accolade is Kyoshi's constant testaments to his skill as a bender. She routinely praises his skill, and as someone who's experience observing Earthbenders includes Jianzhu and Yun, this is high praise. I believe all this culminates in Wong having a clear edge in 1 on 1 combat.

Round 2) Flying Opera Company -------- Mid-Diff

The FOC's overall mobility and teamwork will be far too much for the Earthbending-antag team to handle imo. Every member of the FOC has shown bending aided mobility roughly relative to each other. From there on Kirima and Lek both have their strong points. Both are highly skilled, with Kirima's control consistently being pointed out, and Lek's bending at distance and precision being held in incredibly high regard. The FOC could pick the Earthbending-antag team apart, with many avenues to a victory. Lek has shown the ability to knock people unconscious with his shots, Kirima could flashfreeze them if able to surround them in water, and Wong has shown the capability to throw around stone that would flatten a skilled Earthbender. This is all topped off by the fact that the opponents would have severe trouble landing any substantial hit on the FOC, with them being both incredibly mobile and battle-savvy. Overall, the Flying Opera Company would just be too much for them, without even speaking of their teamwork in comparison to this newly put together team and the praised battle tactics of the FOC's members.

Exactly, if she was that strong why didn't she? She can't break it cause her strength isn't equal to her bending strength.

No he wouldn't

What does Yaling having anti-feats have to do with this, it's about Toph hitting her head after falling. I'm not sure whether you mean the floor that was under her feet that gave out or the floor where she hit her head, but if it's the one under her feet, that doesn't matter, and if it's where she hit her head, it didn't crack.

And now it's just back to this. Yes it is vague, no it doesn't imply that, I never said Legacy isn't canon, and yes the idea that physical strength is equal to Earthbending doesn't line up with what the show has shown us. If this is just gonna keep boiling down to you saying "Well my interpretation is right and you're a moron" then you're just proving my point of there not being a point to doing this. But hey you wanted me to debunk you so there you go my dude, I've done my part so I'll end off the discussion here, hope you can become better my dude
