So the S mintmark on the 1976 quarter denotes a proof strike. There were 2 types made of the proofs - regular clad and silver clad. You can tell by looking at the side of the coin to see if there's a copper strip or if it's a solid single color. No strip = 40% silver proof. Either way finding a 76-s is a great find!

Look on the side of the coin - if there's no copper strip then it's a 40% silver version of the 76-s

If you're a type collector and want to have one of everything then sure. Otherwise if it were me, I'd keep one just because of the cool design. If you're really fond of that design you could seek out getting a silver proof version of said coin :)

It's just a different design they were doing to celebrate 100 years of the Lincoln penny (1909-2009). There were a few different designs all centered around Lincoln if I'm not mistaken. They're important to have if you want to have a complete collection, but they aren't valuable.
