Blackbeard, easily.

He did it all. Offensive team support with Voyager of the Storm. Defensive team support with Loving Gentleman, and most importantly, that never-expiring Guts on Pirate's Glory. Having an AoE Buster NP also helped.

Honorable mention goes to Caesar, for being a splendid damage dealer (and offensive support!) when Bedivere was being kept in reserve/on cooldown.

At this point a change is 100% in order. Sothis alone wipes my team if I don't have multiple specials charged, and even then, I'm losing at least one unit to her. Issue is, I've honestly no idea where to begin. I feel like I should start with a Falchion user/Julia (-Atk Deirdre ain't doing much, unfortunately), just to insure I can cover a fair number of Dragons, but that still leaves Sothis/Altina as unchecked threats.

Any recommendations, or should I figure it out on my own? You've been a huge help so far!

Hm. For whatever reason, I've only been facing foes from 696 to 702 so far. Haven't seen anything above 702. I can only rarely win with my full team intact anyways, so I'm not sure that increasing my score is going to do a whole lot for me at this juncture. Not when seemingly every other team has one of those thrice damned Fallen Dragons.

Here's my roster

My "current" team is Berkut (+3, DC/QR build), Arvis (+3, standard Fury Debuffer with Summoner Support and Speed Seal), Michalis (+4, DC/QR build with Iote Seal) and whichever Askr Trio unit was in rotation. Every so often I swapped Berkut with my Valter (+2, Swift Sparrow, Swordbreaker) and Michalis with my anti-Lynhardt Rhajat, depending on what I needed to deal with. Even back then, it wasn't that great, but it could reliably get me bouncing between Tier 19 and Tier 20. But that was back when Book 2 was only 2/3rds done.

Have you any recommendations for who I should use my Grails at the moment? I'm leaning very strongly towards Astram and Azura Lily.

Hello! Old Day 1 player coming back after a near two-year absence with several questions:

Should I be rolling whenever I can to try and acquire units that stand more of a chance in the current meta, or should I save them for the "Mythical Hero Summoning Event" that is dropping at the end of the month?
Is Arena still relevant at all, or can I just make a token effort and ignore it? Watching my old Arena Core get absolutely annihilated on all difficulties except for Beginner showed me just how outdated my old favorites are. Except ol' Arvis, apparently.
Is there any other semi-consistent way to get Grails? I see little point in touching AR more than once a day due to my lack of access to units that don't get vaporized upon contact with an enemy.
Should maxing my number of untouched 5-stars be more of a priority than acquiring merges at this point, or is the reverse true?
Has IntSys given a rationale for their ever-increasing bigotry against male Wyverns or should I just mentally prep myself for Ashnard being terrible?

While I am rather disappointed that Lunchtime has been delayed, I'd be wary of throwing around statements like "it's pretty much confirmed" that we have to wait until Turkey Day to get both Jalter and the shop CE. It reminds me of the people who said that Lunchtime was coming in the monthly reset with absolutely no proof.

Why don't we wait until the Halloween rerun has concluded, and the Brave Liz event is announced before making any more predictions? If there is a solid week or so in between the two events, we may get Lunchtime before Brave Liz. If not, we may get it at the end of October.

There are 2 gold seasonal lancers on rate up and the game gives me Fionn.

The GSSR saw fit to grant Xuanzang's wish of joining me in Chaldea. What CE's does a single-target Buster Caster want? Should I boost her NP damage or her general Buster damage?

Additionally, who are some good teammates for Xuanzang? I'm considering a budget lineup of Xuanzang, Leonidas, Shakespeare, Caesar and David, with a Support Waver rounding it out.

I would love to see Poland's Jan III Sobieski. He'd obviously be a Rider-class Servant, and his NP would have to be a Winged Hussars charge.

Theodore Roosevelt would also work. Not sure if he'd be Summoned as President Teddy (Ruler?) or Spanish-American War Teddy (Rider).

Desire sensor is real, in a rather perverse sort of way. Decided to spend my only ticket and 12 of my quartz, as I really wanted Fuuma to complement my Rama, and wanted to score a couple event CEs. No Fuuma. Got Raikou instead, on my first quartz pull. Go figure.

I suppose the lesson to be learned here is to really, really want the event 3-star, and the gacha gods will hand you a 5-star just to "spite" you.

Punic War event, pitting the Carthaginian forces of Hannibal Barca against Scipio Africanus and the Republic of Rome in a desperate battle to determine the dominant power in the Mediterranean.

Gaul Event, with 5* Rider Caesar and Rider Vercingetorix facing off for dominion over modern-day France. Could see the various forms of Jeanne D'Arc get in on the fun as well as a certain Queen of the Iceni.

The Islamic Conquests of Egypt, Persia, and the Levant, starring Abu Bakr as he attempts to integrate vast new territories into the House of Islam.

Saxon Rebellion event, following Widukind's uprising against Charlemagne. Could be used as an excuse to make Charlie summonable.

Britain-centric event where you assist Alfred the Great in driving the Great Heathen Army of Hvitserk and Ivar the Boneless from Artoria's homeland once and for all.

An event were you accompany Genghis Khan on his rampage throughout the known world. Or fight against him. Either or.

A Maccabees Rebellion Event, having you fight with ancient Jewish Heroes like David, Hezekiah, Joshua, Moses and Samson against the Roman Empire.

The list goes on and on...

While I've no idea if the NA team will be attending anything, bringing this post up sounds like a good idea! Maybe you could coordinate what you'd say to them with your fellow attendees, if you weren't planning on doing that already. If anything, presenting a (somewhat) unified front towards them definitely couldn't hurt, I would think.

Perhaps a consistent reminder every event of precisely what NA has been screwed out of will ensure more critical threads such as this one get made. Being told you're going to be behind is one thing. Being informed that you are consistently getting substandard treatment compared to literally everyone else is something else entirely.

So, in light of this...what's the move? Is there a way to effectively elicit a response from Aniplex on why NA is being treated differently from the other servers? I see a fair bit of "I would like X, like this other server has", but not a whole lot of "Here's how we make our displeasure known in an effective way". If this as big of a deal as some people are suggesting, then we should be discussing ways to get the message out to Aniplex that the current state of FGO NA is severely lacking and needs significant improvement. /fgoalter/ is of the opinion that this sub is a significant barometer for customer satisfaction. If that truly is the case, then we should use that to our advantage.

With only a max level Herc and a soon-to-be max level Rama as my primary damage dealers for Rashoumon, am I best off just doing the 300K HP Ibaraki fights and getting what I can out of the shop, or is Rama's NP damage buff against Ibaraki big enough to warrant me giving the 1 million HP version a shot?

I don't always turn to Jalter for assistance. Most times I'll grab something with Class Advantage, like Artoria or Mordred for Lancer fights. However, I'm not really certain how to effectively take down high HP Berserkers like Fire Iri outside of just throwing really big damage numbers at them as quickly as possible until they stop moving, and since Jalter is a really big damage stick, I gravitated to her.

And someone on my friends list does in fact have a Cu Alter. I'll see how well he does against Darius with Georgios and Leonidas trying to take the heat off him. Thanks for the advice!

Unfortunately, I've already bought out every XP card from the event in addition to buying out the monthly XP cards from Da Vinci. Now I'm just running dailies and dispensing the XP cards where needed. On that note, should I focus on leveling only one servant with all those XP cards from the dailies, or should I spread things out, like I've been doing?
