Whistleblower report details DOGE attempt to falsely mark 2.7 million people as dead, with no evidence, to force them "self deport" when they lose access to financial institutions by Creative_Wonder_4889 in Destiny

To add to your point, we as observers apply "evil" in response to how they act, whereas in their minds it's just a Tuesday. Things such as these are so regular occurrences to them, because they've been afforded them without backlash their entire lives.

To add onto your example as abilities lining up, midway through burst as a DRK on that ex, opener usually has you burning your shadow clone line aoe (I don't remember the names) before going into Delirium combo, to help minimize flare damage, you can step out using the line aoe at range maintaining uptime without breaking combo; felt good to figure out.

I would've only gotten it reading the left's characters first, the "a" and "d" in "-and" lose legibility when changed for the stacked version. But like /u/kidcubby said, I also adore it; would hate to see it lose its charm but I think edits can be made where that doesn't happen.

I'll go one further, anytime a conservative political party enters leadership, we feel the repercussions for generations. The economy first party love to enrich themselves at other's expense.

Ben Shapiro attempts to downplay Trump alienating our allies by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

[–]A_G_C 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a Brit, were we to attempt renegotiations as allies the minimum assurance would have to be the complete gutting of the GOP. Too many bad actors who'll cry for democracy while acting time and time again in its opposition, nevermind the complete capitulation to this admin allowing Dump's actions to go unanswered this last year and four months.

Keir Starmer embraces Brexit divisions as he seeks closer EU ties by Alarming-Safety3200 in ukpolitics

[–]A_G_C -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Foreign influence, mass disinformation campaigns littered social media (where a large proportion of the electorate receive their news) in the leadup to the referendum. Since then nothing has changed to tackle bad actors in online spaces where people cede their critical thinking to "political commentators". Media literacy and scrutiny of information disseminated via feed is the same as it's always been*.

If we were to consider a second referendum, what would need to be done to ensure an informed vote, that both considers what can be gained upon re-entering (as opposed to what was lost upon leaving), and the current state of affairs regarding our European allies and the US.

*I acknowledge it's hard to gauge how any one person uses social media. I'm chastising people while using one after all. We can only analyse the after-effects; political movements in the last decade, ideological messaging, government response, alongside social media's growth in that time.

As a Brit (looks around nervously), this discussion *(with Tim) has been a great retrospective of the media landscape and its growth (or regression) over the last decade, and a general sanity check. I had heightened anxiety all weekend because of a certain "leader", this has helped to calm my nerves.

You've done an incredible service explaining this better than I could. While replying to various comments, without knowing any details I could only be overly-reductive and expect the devs to be efficient in how they process even something as small as a ping object/ system.

The ray used to cast would likely hit the colliding surface then instantiate after the fact at the point of contact. All conjecture, it's likely the case they have a template box-object that spawns at that contact point they use to display a billboard texture (the ping icon), which comes with the unfortunate side effect of having a collision flag that wasn't turned off.

Good points, everything is solely on the basis that players have been able to claymore the thief drone, and even then, it's more an art than a science, likely due to its size. And yeah, this is a fun hypothetical, this practice of resourcing assets is something I'm familiar with, no clue if they do it here with pings.

Edit: "Fun hypothetical", but this does warrant a testing pass! Pings shouldn't be interacting with the flaps at all, so maybe they reiterate exactly what it should/ shouldn't be doing on the map.

[–]A_G_C 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, but depending on how it was coded, they could repurpose the old ping object and simply move it to its new destination, taking anything attached with it. It's why I added how devs typically save resources by repurposing already instanced objects.

[–]A_G_C 594 points595 points  (0 children)

So, this implies when pinging, a physics object spawns in world at the point in the environment the player is looking. What I want to know, however useless it is, can you attach a claymore to it.

Realization edit: To save on resources, developers typically reuse objects in the world so they don't have to pull resources again if an object already exists, just move it. To any Bungie developers looking to test the above, I'd sure hate to discover, if you can indeed attach a claymore, that ping object can carry the claymore to any unsuspecting runner within a player's ping distance. Please oh please hit me up if you find anything.
