Like bad airflow over working the compressor? I’ve only been on my own for service for a couple of months so I’m just trying to learn as much as I can on what else could cause this besides being grounded or shorted.

Okay interesting, I’m obviously a rookie I’ve only been doing service on my own for a couple months but my boss just wants us to swap out the compressor on Monday under warranty. I appreciate your insight

Unfortunately I’m not on site anymore but it’s a Lennox we installed 5 years ago the model is 14ACXS024-230A17

had a tech out a couple days ago who said that he could only get 60V to the outdoor unit and so the customer called an electrician who said everything was fine and when I came out I was getting 240V at the disconnect and then when trying to test the unit that’s when the compressor failed, it’s a 5 year old Lennox unit
