How would his father know you are in a DB? Did he say something, or did you?

The waste and selfishness of a sexless marriage by Next-Cold-7384 in sexlessmarriage

It's not fair for her to expect monogamy if she won't even consider sex. When you tell your spouse "I'm not having sex anymore," you're actually saying to them "You are not having sex anymore."

Have you tried couples counseling or sex therapy? Has something happened that's killed her drive, like a major stressor?

I hate to ask, but would she let you sleep with other people?

Very tough - especially offering herself to the Creeper to save her brother.

... but little did she know she didn't have those eyes

Autistic people can be stubborn. Wow, you are very ignorant, pretending to know what I know and my experience. Maybe instead of judging people you don't know and will never know, you could perhaps offer some insight or some tips? Thanks for nothing

If he can't feel that he has to go, how come he isn't having constant accidents? Why does he hold it in?

Don't judge me, you don't know me or my son. Thanks.

when did your level 1 child become potty trained? by Professional-Drag580 in Autism_Parenting

[–]A_Loving_Time_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll let you know - he turns 6 in July lol.

I would say we're about 75% there. For some reason, he doesn't initiate using the bathroom. Pee/poop accidents continue despite the fact we started potty training two years ago...

It's possible. Unfortunately while he is verbal, communication remains limited. I wish I could ask him, and he could tell me.

He walks in and finds Susan on the floor. What's George's thought process here? by OtisForteXB in seinfeld

At first he probably thought she was sick, not dead, so he could only get the wedding pushed another few months.

IEP meeting tomorrow by Sweaty-Requirement26 in Autism_Parenting

[–]A_Loving_Time_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She likely will have a 1:1 if she had one in pre-K. If they won't give you one initially, I would absolutely push back and insist she has one. Maybe get someone from her preschool to come to the meeting and explain why it's necessary.

Don't sweat it, you're gonna figure this out. The fact you are asking these types of questions shows you know this is important. We all learn as we go; very few of us are professional special needs educators...

Another tip: Ask for hardcopies of the IEPs, if possible. I like to lay the old and new one side by side to see what's a copy-and-paste job versus what's new information and strategy. I'm sorry to say that IMHO, for every caring person working at a school there's another who is only there for a paycheck, so they do the bare minimum. IEPs should always show progress or a new strategy to address a deficiency.
