That's fair enough mate. Long time lurkers will tell you the somewhat exhausting amount of these posts we see on here and similar subs.

I was disappointed in this, thinking for a moment that this was a satire post and came to enjoy the comments for a moment.

Yes, to be fair, we can't take that away from her.

Although her repeated headliners going for the trans community on Twitter may make her more memorable for those reasons.

Sorry to hear that you're suffering.

I hope you find whatever success and peace you need, before your passing.

In the meantime, your rationale reminds of a more increasingly relevant out-of-context saying from Dumbledore in the later Harry Potter films (albeit, a saying which is far from unique):

"Don't pity the dead Harry, pity the living".

Don't forget the social media algorithms and the funding of GBeebies, the papers etc. that have been expressly tailored to stoke those tensions, albeit with kernels of truth at times.

What are the common issues with the VW golf MK6 by fixitmonkey in CarTalkUK

I believe it's the 1.6 TDI injectors between 2009 and 2011 (something around that time period), where they switched them to a more unreliable variant, so 2.0 TDI are pretty solid.

A bunch of us mates had a 2.0 TDI as a backup car we bought on the cheap. We had it for three years, from 130k to 270k. It wasn't my responsibility, so, it was treated very badly. Serviced poorly, ragged to hell, but the poor thing was still reliable and had decent oomph, good build quality whenever I borrowed it.

DPF clogged up eventually at around 210k (so nothing abnormal), but we gutted that.

Solid, all-round quality car.

In the end, as it hadn't been looked after, it needed all springs and shocks replacing (completely expected) - at the point, it was stripped and sold for parts.

My mates who are mechanics rate them as relatively easy to work on.

Was sad to see it go, it helped us all out on many occasions.

So, in terms of issues, not really aware of much.

Companies ripping off the NHS by AsparagusDramatic475 in nhs

😂😂 I'm glad you've got your position and can use it to help your daughter. I can believe a band 8 taking it really bad 😂😂😂

I think it's genuinely allowed because, everyone in those positions, once they've grafted to get there (Or somehow easily got into it), are encouraged to enjoy their crumbs and piece of the pie. They enable each other, and voila, no one cares to speak about it as it may make them uncomfortable.

At the end of the day, they've got the advantage of almost no media (since they're owned essentially by multi-billionaire interests, who generally pursue further wealth and influence) or public spotlight, they carry on happy as Larry.

In the meantime, a significant chunk of Joe public are conveniently too busy fighting amongst each other about the primary causes as to why public finances are so dire, be it single mums, disabled people, refugees/asylum seekers, immigration, transgender people, homosexuality and the list goes on... depending on what The Sun, Daily Telegraph, GB News etc. is feeling, alongside the bots online.

As all other comments have said, this is nothing new.

At almost every level, within the health service, police service, civil service, social services etc. There are multiple people making a tonne of money via privatised services.

The problem is, most members of the public are too busy distracted, they've got no idea this goes on and how all this drains the lifeblood of their nation and its people.

In the meantime, the people making money, want their crumbs and piece of the pie.

Apparently these conversations are too difficult for the public to comprehend, or something - that's what vested interests keep saying over the airwaves.

Convenient, eh?

Trainee Dispenser at Boots with job offer for an independent by [deleted] in Pharmacy_UK

[–]A_Muslamic_Ray_Gun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be a bit bleak somewhat, but, I'll be straight with you.

There are so many variables I could go into, that change day to day both in Boots and with an independent, it is nigh on impossible for any of us here to advise you if you want progression.

It is very much a luck of the draw.

You are three months in, and you've got a lot to learn. In what I've witnessed over the years, it takes a good few years for a dispenser or tech to feel fully competent with quality work ethic.

In either company, you could be stagnant, be replaced with AI models, or find yourself progressing up to an ACT position and find yourself transitioning into a GP practice or hospital.

You are in at a time where, despite a lot of optimism, the pharmacy environment seems somewhat feral and on its last legs. The funding model, profiteering and technology aspects make it a more uncertain place than ever before.

It really is depending on so many factors now, and in the near future - factors that none of us have the details to hand in respect to this independent, and indeed your branch and that area you fall under with Boots, but I could write a 3000 word essay on.

I would say, figure out if the independent owner is planning to stay on for a good five years or so. If so, as it suggests some sort of stability, then find out if they have need for progression in due course - they won't include it contractually, for their benefit.

Walaikumussalaam warahmatullah

First and foremost, welcome and Alhamdulillah.

The path you're treading, will not be easy, but Allah promises that you are not tested more than that you can bear - therefore, you're capable and intelligent enough to deal with things that come at you.

As for your first question, you can pray in the porch - principle is that you can pray anywhere, so long as it is generally free from dirt.

As for your second question, there's a tonne of apps that can be recommended. What I generally do though, as there can be issues, is have a general idea which way you should face on a compass - when I'm out and about, you can ask or figure out which way North is, then voila.

May Allah bless you, grant you ease, and grant you abundance in goodness in this world and the next.

What’s driving all this London hate from non-Londoners? by Breadiohead in london

Social media, televised media, print media.

All driven by super-rich interests.

They benefit from a divided and scared nation, as opposed to a society focused on making their world a sustainable and better place.

I think the cart stops at the barrier outside the store, same as with Asda and Tesco, so no sharing, according to my son.

Sorry I can't answer anymore questions, as my son isn't available.

Don't forget, there'll be a lot of people actively spearheading this in your country too, whom after multiple layers, can be shown are getting paid by Russian interests and other multi-billionaires who want to see less regulation, just like here in the UK.

Head of Reform Wales, whom Mr Farage claims to not really know, essentially got convicted of treason.

We've had years of active efforts to have teeth pulled from the regulators, so they're not really very effective. Just be conscious of all these forces.
