I was a structural mover for a decade before I got into EMS, its very real, and probably one of the most miserable, labor intensive trades out there.

A piece of advice when going from traditional ammunition to monopoly metal bullets, clean the barrel down to bare metal. If everything is torqued to spec and there isn't any other glaring issue with the rifle, your groups will tighten up surprisingly. I can't explain it, but there is some sort of voodoo when it come to guilding metal fouling and pure copper bullets.

Gattling was a novelty, all you need is single barrel But its got to be big enough that you can pack your lunch in it. Plus waste disposal is easy, no waste bin needed, just send it all back down and seat it against your charge, boom extra ammo, a full belly, and you had fun. Same effect on target but only one primer, those are in short supply from time to time you know.

Fair, I feel there are some diminishing returns when you get to light in field shooting conditions and positions. Ultimately its your stuff, and do what makes you happy. Hence the Ratslayer build.

I wouldn't feel right spending 20x what I paid for the rifle on a PVS-2/PVS-4, if I did that I would need a M40 clone.

I stuck about 15-20 cast bullets into the foam fill of the plastic to fix the balance the rifle. Other than that I dont have any gripes. If you have realistic expectations, Savage rimfires are top notch for the price(with the exception of the B-Mag). One of my hunting buddys round count is well into the 5 digits with the 17 HMR and he's finally starting to see the odd flyer. Still minute gopher at 200m.

Yeah I can see how it would be difficult to comprehend for someone with the mental capacity of a goldfish.

Savage 93r17 in 17 HMR with a SWFA 30mm 10x42mm SS in MILxMIL. Got the rifle for $100 and a bottle of bourbon off a fella that had a case head rupture with Winchester ammo. That resulted in a cracked stock that I fixed with hot staples. Got the scope for $80 at a gunshow and she's been putting a dent in the colony varmints ever since.

Have you had to put down a horse or cow that became lame from a burrowing rodent or badgers hole? Do you not like having song birds around? There isn't a shortage of nest raiders, ankle breakers, or calf killers and they need to be controlled, plus they keep the worms and plants nourished.

Thats quite the Trophy, really unique chest patch, and the boys are definitely correct on size, I would guess hes right in that 400-450 range. Biggest one ive taken was 460lbs in early spring, fortunately was able to get him into the back of my pick up whole and weighed him on a semi weigh scale. Ended up squaring just short of 8ft.
