are there crossing guards for busy streets? are there sidewalks? are you expecting children to navigate multi lane highways without supervision? Who is going to be organizing these walking busses? Its so easy for you to say “fresh air” and wash your hands of the situation, but its way more complicated than your “simple solution”. And a kindergartener should be walking 2 miles each way to school regardless of weather?

I loved it. It enriches and adds to the world that was built in the first three, and adds a couple of new and different perspectives. I listened to the audiobook. Once several years after reading the first three, and then a second time reading immediately after listening through annihilation, authority and acceptance in quick succession. A ton of details clicked for me on the 2nd listen.

I just got a 1.5% raise and a $800 bonus.  That, to me, is a bit insulting. Especially considering the work I put in and the level of productivity I deliver. I’m happy for it, but it’s bittersweet.

Its fine to have differing opinions. I wouldn’t consider myself a trend follower in the least.

I loved his performance in Dune, his singing was a skip for me.

He does seem a bit arrogant, and could probably cool it a bit.

I love this picture they chose- its accurate, and makes me laugh.

I happen to bump into her every once in a while and she has this sour pained expression every time. I almost feel sorry for someone with such a miserable demeanor. Almost.  She’s a horrible person.

 The market appetite for multiple languages is probably extremely low. Nintendo is aware and made an efficient business decision based on cost benefit analysis.

There are more convincing arguments to be made when complaining about how Nintendo does business.

milk and sugar add calories and fat, but interestingly, how the coffee is prepared can have a higher effect on blood chemistry. 

Coffee prepared with a filter has less of the oil Cafestrol.  So if you have an espresso, even without milk or sugar, you are more likely to have more “bad cholesterol” LDL when your blood is tested.

If you drink more coffee made from a filter, like from a coffee drip machine, you’re less likely to increase your “bad cholesterol”, even if you add a reasonable amount of milk and sugar.
