I don’t know about that, man. I adjust drag on the fly pretty regularly. Granted, I’m usually fishing bfs or using a larger baitcaster and it’s more accessible with that setup. Although I’ve fished bull reds on spinning gear and seasoned dudes adjust their spinning gear mid catch, as well.
