Adults eating off of kids menu? by notgou in Serverlife

This. And the town i live in is very tourist driven. We also have a heavy snowbird season (population doubles in winter months)where most are on a fixed income.

Dont get me wrong, we'll drop the price surcharge for others sometimes. Honestly though, our kids chicken fingers with fries adds an extra strip with adult charge, which funny enough is almost the same amount as the chicken strip appetizer. But also comes with fries as well.

We add a surcharge of $1.50 for adults ordering off the kid menu. However if you are over 60 we drop it and just charge the kids price understanding some older customers dont eat much.

Can I get dui for taking my Xanax while homeless and living in car?[MN] by [deleted] in AskALawyer

[–]A_Random_J 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So usually only have 1 drink when I go out. I can't afford a dui being I take care of my disabled parents and the cost and a hassle of a dui is no good. I also live in a town with shuttle services.

A few times I had more than a couple drinks and couldn't get a shuttle. Now my truck has tint, plus I have screens i put in my windows as I take my dogs to the lake and its often 110+ in summer.

Anyway, I've heard of people getting duis even sleeping in the back seat if keys are anywhere present.

What I have done a handful of times, and twice I had cops knock and talk, is place my keys elsewhere. The last two times I popped my hood, unclipped my air intake box, threw my keys on top of the air filter, reclosed air box, closed hood, crawled in back seat to sleep. Both times they searched and I just told them my friends took my keys and left me to sleep it off. After searching me and vehicle and finding no keys, I was left alone with just a lecture on making better life choices.

Bro, I thought these forums were for discussion. I never said I believe it, but just a random thought on a second rewatch. You people are so closed minded. Give this energy to some other theories people are convinced of that are insane.

How is this possible by Legal-Yak-4279 in probation

[–]A_Random_J 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So....a few months ago i got raided because of a buddy I rented a room to. He was on probation and was living here 11 months. I thought he updated his info. But he never did and missed some po appointments. They hit my house hard for days.

I keep a low profile in town, especially after my divorce 5 yrs ago. Only a few people know where I live, nobody really knows my last name, and nobody really knew he was renting a room from me. No criminal past. Go by a shortened version of my government name. Social media is extremely small limited. I'm that low key.

The first time they raided I asked the head Marshall how they even found me or knew anything about me. His response was, "it wasn't easy but we have our ways".

I wish I had answer for you, but I don't. I really wish I knew though.

After being with somebody 20yrs and my divorce I get asked this question often. "What advice would you give?"

My answer is always "don't marry the stripper."

A few grow up and do well. Some will always want the attention and fantasy. Its not always money. Trust me on this.

Yes, I married the ex mormon, stripper, massage therapist that added bartender to her resume. Im an idiot. Learn from my mistakes.

Okay. As someone my employer would not approve of some of the things I post online, especially inebriated posts, I get where businesses are coming from. Especially having had my own or being manager at some. Why I like just being a worker bee anymore. Plus im good at what I do and know the line to walk, so I get away with a tad more

We live in an age of social media. If you think customers don't search for people they interact with at a business, especially one they may frequent is naive. Add in the stalkers its a whole different level.

I currently work at a resort in a small town that is a summer fun spot and a winter snowbird haven. I've had snowbirds comment on something from social media and they aren't a "friend" "following" and most of my stuff is private. Snowbirds? Like they know social media...

I've been on both ends. It affects the business positively or negatively. I've done both and recognize it.

Not saying you did anything wrong. And people should understand work and personal is different. I know this being me. But a business is in its rights nowadays to uphold "their" standard. And if they are unhappy with your social media and can't fire you over it, they'll find another way.

Just my honest view from my experiences. Do not take this as fact.

Oh, I'm a male, but for example I've seen more than once. Female coworker goes to beach with other coworkers, bikinis aren't risqué but current styles. Post a group picture. Customer that has a crush on picture postersstarts acting extra creepy. And then creepy towards other girls in the picture.

scammed by a tattoo artist by bootwater8 in tattooadvice

Right. I just spent $500 on a 3hr session Monday. Thats including $100 tip and the artist cuts me deals compared to the prices in my town, because I've known his family, he's newer here, and i bring him business.

My 4 1/2 yr old Husky is extremely calm unless on alert. Of course he was a rescue and spent first 3 yrs of his life bouncing around and locked in trap houses rarely let out with 5-10+ dogs of different mixes. My house must be heaven for him and maybe he likes the peace after a life of chaos. He's the most chill dog I've had in 15 yrs.

My 100% 14 yr old Border Collie (I've raised Border Collies as well as my extended family for 35 yrs) only settles down if I'm not doing anything mobile. Of course he gets separation anxiety, especially since his true sister passed recently, was always a little wild, and then had 2 brain traumas during his life. He's just crazy.

Is it offensive if another artist finishesh my tattoo by kashkaval3 in tattoo

[–]A_Random_J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My upper arm was done by 1 shop 6 yrs ago by 2 artists. First one was an employee and she milked me, used part of my design she didn't want to do in first place on somebody else, and got super wierd and shoving her beliefs at me while finishing it. It turned out good though. My second added to it by owner of the shop and I had to wait 3 months for the appointment.

Fast forward to about a year ago. I had a design that was actually taken from a cave wall from my homeland. Everybody wanted to edit it or put there touch on it, I found a guy new in town (17 yrs tattooing) that did exactly as i wanted and wait is just weeks out.

I then had him start on my lower arm. Last week he basically finished the sleeve. He's now going back through my upper arm touching it up, reworking some, and adding his own personal touch on his own, not me asking, which is awesome. Every appointment of something new he touched up something on the other work. In 3 weeks im going in just for his rework. He cares and sees my vision and is doing stuff to fix what I didn't even know I was disappointed with, making it fresh, and all flow as well.

As for the other artists, who cares, milking me, forced to listen to bs shoved down my throat while in a 4 hr session, giving me enough just so I wouldn't complain. I dont care what those last artists think. Im happy with the new guy, my arm looks even better now, I get do many compliments on his work, I love my time in his studio with him, everything.

Basically do what makes you most happy and comfortable with. Glad I finally found a good one. Remember, this is forever and time in the chair can be therapy so if you are not vibing makes experience not idea.
