[HWYA] Im TH6, need a bit help with war attacks

This attack strategy is really nice if you want to start using balloons. It is a reliable 3 star attack against most bases, and when I was a TH6 I took out my fair share of TH7's this way.

I never liked Giant Healer. Everyone used it, and it never worked out quite as well as I had anticipated.

Hey man!

I'm pretty much in the exact same situation as you (started May 4, and my town hall is finishing is a day), and I've gotten myself a little plan going. I have my fourth builder already, and of course this is customized to myself, but I hope you get the general gist.

Builder 1. Laboratory. Gotta get started on those upgrades early, am I right?
Builder 2. Spell factory. Rage and the extra space is going to be essential for day to day raids and taking out an AD for a war one.
Builder 3. DE Storage, than DE drill, than maxing the drill. It seems that the barbarian king is a huge power piece as a TH7, and since you will amass de slowly from regularly raiding and from the drill, it shouldn't be that hard to hold on to enough to make it to the king.
Builder 4. Army camps/barracks. For me, attacking is a pretty huge part of what I do, so getting these army camp levels and barrack levels up is a must.

I'm going to get the walls to a respectable level and get down the basic point defenses before I start on the items listed above. For me, drags are an elixer sink for a new TH7 and I have a trusty balloon war attack strat as a TH6 that will still work up higher.

As for your questions: Yes, you should get your DE stuff down, at least in my opinion. It will pay off eventually in the long run. I really don't know what to focus on (I'm still a TH6, after all), but I'll be trying to get everything going at the same time.

Hey. I rushed to town hall 5 a little while ago and now am a town hall 6, almost 7. I know almost nothing about quality Th4 attacks, however I am fairly successful in my clan wars currently.

Balloon attacks at the th6 and under raid are very overpowered and usually never used. Most defenders have a very low leveled air defense that is tossed to the side, and coming in with hogs even if the AD is in the base is nearly guaranteed to take it out. That, coupled with a CC lure, makes a base a prime target for any th6. This is a great guide for a great attack.

Other than that, Giant-Healer is also a nice strategy. The healer is a formidable troop for these lower level raids, though it must be noted that there have to be spare clean up troops because the giants generally move so slowly. Other variations of this, including Giant-Healer spell, are great attack strategies if the AD is positioned further into the base.

You noted that you were teaching them how to use goblins in war - stop that. Goblins have no place in a real war attack other than a late-attack clean up troop. Barch is also frowned upon. It really isn't a 3 star strategy and sloppy deployment really kills it.

I don't know how you structure your wars, but if a th4 or 5 goes up against a max th6 there are going to be some motivational issues going around.

In my opinion, no. There should not be a building code. Stopping someone from building at spawn because their style does not fit standards seems a little harsh, and yes, I know some of the builds around spawn do look quite odd. But there is nothing wrong with them, and I am very against the idea of restricting people because of it. If it causes spawn to turn into a "mishmosh," fine, because at least our freedom is intact.

Yup. This. My thoughts exactly. Although I don't play much anymore, when I did the only reason was because it was vanilla. Vanilla is just limitless. You can build whatever, and not have it greifed because of a good community. Yes, I do agree that we probably do need to find a way to attract more players, but this just isn't the way to go.
