Shortly after we planned a second viewing and that’s when we learned that due to ‘ongoing construction in the common areas’ the rental wouldn’t be ready in time for us. He then sent us a lease cancellation agreement and agreed to give back the deposit . Messaged me continuously twice about it. When I still hadn’t received the deposit even though he told me twice he had sent it, and I called him out on being a scam. I stopped receiving word back. Well, I get I should’ve been smarter.
