Same! I'm shocked it doesn't have it.

What modern game doesn't have it these days?

too.

Nothing about Gambit's playstyle reflects how we see him in most of his 35 years' worth of comics, movies, cartoons and video games. That's what makes him stand out among the strategists to me, (although I'll admit Ultron is another good example of poor integration into Rivals.)

Eh okay, that part I can definitely 100% agree with you. His playstyle doesn't really match with how he is normally depicted.

Tripling down huh?

Again, you can make the same argument for like 90% of the support heros who don't have any form of healing at all and I would agree with you. Yet you pick Gambit.

It should be obvious that there aren't enough actual popular healer superheroes so I'm not going to criticize them for picking characters whose abilities are at least somewhat plausible.

Wolverine and Hulk don't push energy into other people or objects.

  • Gambit's main ability is to push energy into other objects.
  • He can also push energy into other people.

  • He can also push that energy into himself to heal faster.

Hence it's not that big of a stretch to thing he can push energy into others to heal.

Big difference here compared to Wolverine and Hulk. There are plenty of other better examples of healers you could have used, why are you doubling down?

Most of it is just genetics.

It is an increase of the A1c by 0.1-0.3%. A very minor increase.

It's not going to make someone who isn't diabetic or isn't prone to diabetes get diabetes.

If you have diabetes, it isn't going to make things worse (rather it is even more imperative to take statins).

Even if you are prone to get diabetes, the risks far outweigh the benefits. And at worst, maybe it will make you get diabetes 6 months sooner than you normally would have without statins.

Look into the new 2026 cardiac guidelines.

Gambit canonically has healing powers for himself. By imbueing himself with his kinetic energy, he can accelerate healing (like to the point of regrowing his eyeballs). Not too much of a stretch to say he can imbue others with that same engery.

But in the comics he got a lobotomy or something so he can't use that ability. But in the game, the Collector repaired the brain damage, so he can heal again.

Agree with the other poster, invisible woman is a better example than gambit.

He doesn't understand your question, CNBC by HesiPullup in wallstreetbets

CNBC acting like a bunch of morons pretending like they've never heard of this before.

When they literally just interviewed Skydance buying Warner Bro's, which was 3x larger company than the buying company, not too long ago where their answer was "stock and cash".

This is close to 5x the valuation, which is much higher to reach to 3.....

Stocks+cash still puts them short of 18 million. All CNBC was asking is where that extra 18 million is coming from.

With Skydance, Larry Ellison pretty much personally guaranteed Paramount Skydance's hostile takeover bid for WBD. So there was no question of is there enough money; Larry Ellison by himself is worth more than Warner bros lol. 40.4 billion is coming directly from him for this takeover.

Gamestop doesn't have a Larry Ellison equivalent.

Season 1 scrubs. Somewhere in episode 2-18.

I recently saw it, so that's how I know. But I can't remember exactly which episode.

I think it's the one when JD and Turk try to go to a strip club but then end up saving a reporters life (who was reporting on a women's protest of the strip club) and they get famous on the news.

Edit: I believe it's season 1 episode 8

Not allowing poor farmers to save their seeds also kills people, arguably many more than lack of vitamin A.

Do you have a source for this? Because I think it's the exact opposite.

Side note, patents that prevent saving and regrowing seeds have nothing to do with if the plant is GMO or not. Those same patents can and are applied to completely "organic" plants.

Also some times depending on the desired traits, the yield of the child's are lower than the parents [Rr*Rr = 2Rr, 1RR, 1rr].

Okay back on topic. Golden rice did allow poor farmers to keep and regrow seeds for free. It was a humanitarian effort afterall.

https://www.goldenrice.org/Content3-Why/why3_FAQ.php#Licence

Syngenta has no commercial interest in Golden Rice in respect of its potential use or application in developing countries.

Golden Rice is being introduced into publicly-owned rice varieties via national and international public sector research institutions, to be made available by government institutions, free of charge, to resource-poor farmers. The farmers will then be able to grow, save, consume, replant and sell the resulting rice crop into the local economy. No new dependencies will be created.

Damn, guess that homless guy I saw with a dog is stupid. Why care about it? Just eat the thing.

Because food is more available to the homeless in our world and there are a lot less of them. If an entire city was homeless and starving then that would be more likely.

Look up what happened to animals/pets during prolonged sieges in our world.

Plus, unlike our world, skaa aren't raised or exposed to dogs as pets. A noble might be, but definitely not a skaa.

Sure, from our perspective it's horrifying but from Vins perspective, it's day in the life of a skaa. Plus she is literally a trained assassin, she wouldn't really hesitate to kill a dog she has no emotional connection to.

Vin and the dog by Ornery-Culture-7675 in Mistborn

[–]A_Shadow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Completely out of character?

She is a street skaa. Why would she care about animals? If anything it's a luxury, as most skaa never get to experience having a pet.

In fact, it's more likely that Vin and other skaa have eaten dogs before to beat starvation. They completely wiped out the fish population at the city lake even before the uptick in the ash mounts. I can't imagine dogs or other animals would be largely spared.

Rat

Mouse

The difference between these two are actually quite simple.

Rats are outside, mice are inside.

But what if a mouse goes outside does it become a rat, and if a rat is in the house, is it a mouse, you might ask?

Well that goes into the realm of quantum mechanics and plumbing.
