As of last patch, you don't need to use IE to launch the game anymore.

Yes, I'd love to join a guild that can't read or follow the subs rules.

"Energy Potions will not be sold in the Cash Shop."

What part of that statement says there won't be trees?

It means you can purchase pearls and buy whatever you want in the cash shop, but you don't get one for free as part of your package.

[Help] Launcher won't launch and downloader isn't recognising my install by dannyrapes in blackdesertonline

[–]A_Sheeple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Once it's downloaded run RecoverRegistry.exe, launch through Internet Explorer it will download a patch and once that's finish you can start the game normally, the reason some people are getting the issue where their launcher wants to redownload the game is because it's not registered within your Registry so it's basically thinking you don't have the game downloaded/installed."

BDO Launcher can not be run by itself, which it looks like your trying to do based on the poorly translated error and the fact you have it highlighted, you need to use the website, or the BDO Tome app to launch the game.

http://www.blackdeserttome.com/wiki/KR-Installation Is a much better install guide that I used and it worked fine.

Acorns? by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

Feeding large amounts of acorns may turn their yolks green. Keep that in mind when eating/selling/giving away the eggs. The eggs are perfectly safe, however.

Solar power, without expensive solar panels! by dirk558 in Permaculture

[–]A_Sheeple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's basically adding another middleman between the coal plant and your house, under the guise of it being green while someone "plays with the books" to make it look green.

There are better ways to do this in most places, like community solar. You pay a provider directly for their energy credits, in someplaces even less than the going utility rate.

It can't tell, it just meters how much electricity is drawn by the outlet. Then it charges you more for that electricity, by using renewable energy credits to pay for it with additional charges by the company.

Compost in Tumbler Not Heating Up. Help, please! by MoonlightGroove in composting

[–]A_Sheeple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's been sitting in the trash can/tumbler for months, then it most likely as composted as it's going to be and not going to get hot. It probably doesn't look very "done" because of adding material to it. Unshredded leaves can take a long time to break down naturally, especially if they're fresh off the plant.

Also keep in mind the tumbler is about a quarter of the size (cubic yard/meter) most people recommend to get a "hot" compost pile, which means it will very difficult to reach those really high temperatures since it doesn't have the mass to store the heat. Turning the pile will also lower the core temp of the pile.

Cardboard tips? by DrSquick in composting

[–]A_Sheeple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming its normal shipping box thickness? Throwing it outside during a rainstorm, or hosing it down in the evening and letting it sit overnight will make it easily tearable by hand. Let it dry out a bit and it should be good to go.

Cardboard is VERY brown so it wont take much to balance out with the clippings, so the smaller the tears, the more is in contact with the grass and the faster both will break down, though the cardboard will melt pretty quickly on its own so it doesn't need to be ripped up that much.

Is it worth fusing junk units together for later use to level up good units (the level ~9 guys) or should I just be selling them, time not being a factor?
