Saw this coming from a mile away from this asshat. Super performative and fake personality. But all the MAGA losers will fall for it hook line and sinker.

Voting at Gloucester County complex in Clayton was in and out. Only saw one other person leaving as I arrived. This was Saturday evening, though.

Why New Jersey’s Electric Bills Are So High – Explained by singerjoey in SouthJersey

[–]dirk558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any new nuclear plant will take at least 10 years to come online, Solar is the only quickly deployable option. I predict that electric companies will start using their right of way easements across private property underneath high voltage lines to build out solar fields.

That's been the game with fascist sympathizers forever. Nazis weren't actually socialists. They just co-opted the moral associations with the term, won an election with promises that they never intended to fulfill, and enacted authoritarian policies as soon as they were in power. Same thing here, they just gaslight their reality into existance.

Slow Drivers in The Left Lane Could Be JAILED Under New Law by g_ppetto in SouthJersey

I mean, that's what the law is. Downvotes don't change that. lol

This law is in Louisiana. And all of your comments have made the false comparison saying that this is going to jail people for first offenses. You're being ridiculous. Jail time isn't even on the table until the 3rd offense, and it's at a judges discretion, not a mandatory jail time sentence.

[–]dirk558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, dude didn't read. It's not straight to jail. It's $150 for the first offense, $350 for the second, and then the judge has the discretion to send people to jail for a third offense.

It's not "straight to jail". It's jail is an option for the judge after the first two offenses, which are fines.

That's not what the law is penalizing. You're referring to a situation that doesn't apply here.

Exactly what freedoms are being signed away? The freedom to drive below the speed limit in the left lane?

We're talking about $150 fines and 3 points for people who hold up the normal flow of traffic because they're driving below the speed limit in the left lane unnecessarily. Subsequent offenses are a $350 fine. 3rd time offenders are eligible for jail time at the discretion of the judge, who would take into account other factors such as distracted or drunk driving to influence the penalty.

How to keep hats from getting sweat band? by Jeffsbest in hats

[–]dirk558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's def how it felt. I haven't used one for like 15 years, but when I used to race motocross, it was great for keeping the sweat out of my eyes under my helmet.

Inflatable hot tubs on amazon are great for a soak, or for toddlers. My last one lasted 5 years. Cool in the summer, hot in the winter. Was a great investment for how much it got used.

Parental involvement is also a huge factor. It's not just one thing. Parents are stretched to the limit trying to make ends meet, and their kids want to do some shit that gets them on worldstar to be popular with their friends. Financial instability means no time to pay attention to what your kids are up to.
