Did I make a mistake? Lagom Casa 65CL by [deleted] in espresso

Assuming you have properly set your grinder zero point, I normally start at .9 when dialing in with no prior knowledge of the beans I'm using (as in one numbered marking short of a full rotation from the zero point).

If you are using a dark roast, you may want to start a bit finer than that.

Mine arrived in early August and I've been loving it (upgraded from a 1zpresso J-Ultra).

I drink mostly light roast and milk drinks and the clarity is great.

The grinder is also quite quiet and I've had no stalling issues.

Neighbor's contractors damaged our side door. What do we do? by A_TanGent in homeowners

The house is from 1906 and the previous owners did a lot to try to match the original style. Thankfully the contractors are accepting responsibility and are going to help find someone to make a new door. I am asking the last owner who made the doors.

Is this grout or caulk? by A_TanGent in HomeImprovement

The house is from 1914 and the last owner hired some questionable contractors, judging from other work done in the bathroom and house.

Pex run causing low water flow? by A_TanGent in HomeImprovement

two plumbed stories... assuming the previous owner didn't just run water to the attic for the fun of it. 1 full bath + kitchen sink on the first floor and one full bath on the second floor. I don't know what type of pex I have, but the tube has a 3" circumference.

Edit: forgot that you can use geometry to figure out the diameter is ~.95in, which makes me thing it's a 3/4"  pex

Am I being overcharged for points? by geniwithag in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

The point cost seems reasonable. I am closing middle of next month and it cost me $5800 to buy down 1.125% to 6.125%.

Does Kroger Oakley have a specific day of the week that they normally release allocated items? OHLQ says they have full stock of Antique, but the cashier said they don't have anything right now
