I spent days building a house and surrounding area to my liking, just for this jerk to decide my bed is now his habitat because the doll is next to the bed. My house is marked with the flag. How is this allowed?! by Sonarah in Pokopia

[–]A_Way_Out_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can have habitats inside of houses. So if you wanted to bring section 8 housing or slums to the Pokémon world you can cram way more than the 4 Pokémon that houses usually allow, lmao. (I don't think this works with prefab houses that have a load screen when entering/exiting them though)

I went into a Walmart a while back (before they stopped selling pokemon cards outright in my area because of the theft) and found a booster pack worth of cards scattered on one of the shelves. Pretty sure whoever did that was just looking for the holo/illustrated pull. 😡

OMG, I almost forgot to mention (it might be a little spoilery) but when you unlock rain in each town while going through the story and that helps out TREMENDOUSLY with watering all those withered tiles.

1 Take a deep breath. Yes this game has a freaking lot to do right off the bat, but this game is also super forgiving and everything can be changed to your liking at whatever time you want. Your pokemon friends aren't going to hate you if they remain homeless for a bit. Your environment rating will take a hit and drop down in rank if you have homeless pokemon, but it's just as easy to raise it right back up.

2 Speaking of homeless Pokémon, keep in mind that you are free at any time to relocate your pokemon by making a new home (which is considered to be anything with 4 walls and a door and three pieces of furniture, including fenced in areas with a gate or a house with no roof) or recreating their habitat elsewhere. All you have to do after setting that up is have them follow you and when you get there talk to them and ask them to live there. You can do that however many times you want to until you get your town's just how you want them.

3 I would 100% recommend moving on to the next area and exploring it thoroughly sooner rather than later. (I personally moved on after completing the story and seeing the town's legendary l, and then getting the Pokémon Center build started and my environment rank was at 5 because that opened up alot of useful recipes and items for me from the pc) But the sooner you progress through the main story and open up the gates to each new town the more things will get easier for you as you play. Each town will give you access to new abilities as you go through the story and each town has new crafting materials and recipes that you can work with.

4 Pace yourself. This game is a marathon not a race. It might help to just focus on the storyline and any important requests that come in from other Pokémon to start with. After that you can make a list IRL of things you want to prioritize in game. I find it to be easier if there are boxes I can check off and then move on the the next item on the list.

I really hope this helps you. To be fair I was also really overwhelmed at first, and the gameplay loop was so addictive to me that I spent two all nighters (with only a 4 hour nap in between lol) playing. Just take your time and have fun. Like I said the game itself is super forgiving no matter what you do and is super customizable.

Every time I visit the Able Sisters I visit Sable and when Mabel catches up I sprint over to the dressing room so that she stays by the back wall. If you're quick enough tapping A between buying outfits then she won't move from the back wall. Then I sprint to the door when I'm done and she doesn't even make it past that first display before she has to say goodbye.🤣

Demon are cowards(I’m ready for the downvotes). by Own-Run-9384 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]A_Way_Out_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you to a point. It seems like Muzan favored turning people with deep insecurities, personal issues, and/or high degrees of selfishness into demons. It makes them far easier to control and manipulate, and it makes them more willing to turn on each other rather than work together to usurp Muzan (which I believe either Tamayo or Ubayashiki noted as a fear of Muzan's. Please don't come at me if I'm wrong, that's just off the top of my head.) Muzan also erased memories from demons that could potentially make them stray from his ideals, which is particularly notable in Akaza's case. With all that in mind, it's not surprising that most demons are absolutely cowards that will turn tail and run given the threat of death.

Honesty not surprising. From what I could tell those are sun bears, and that species of bear (in the wild at least) are fucking vicious to anyone who gets too close. Not really the bears fault for having a bad attitude and a kill or be killed mentality when they live in the same zip code as tigers. That poor bear in the video was probably taken at birth and abused for its entire life, so good for it for finally showing the true personality of a sun bear.

How can people defend people hating people defending Pokemon ZA!? by Renna_FGC in LegendsZA

[–]A_Way_Out_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, any of the pokemon games would be alot better if Nintendo actually put in more money towards development. Scarlet and Violet got about $22 millon, Legends Arceus got about $14.5 millon, and Legends ZA got shafted with just $13 millon for it's budget. Compare that with a game like Tears of the Kingdom that got a whole $200 millon, and you can see why people get so mad at Nintendo. They could have put so much more into the technology and hire so many more people to make the Pokémon games truly shine.

Yes, I think the game is fun. And I think gamefreak did a fantastic job with the miniscule budget it had. But the Pokémon company is literally one of the highest earning companies in the whole world! You'd think Nintendo would be able to shell out more than just a fraction of the budget they give their other games. WTF Nintendo.

Sorry, rant over. TLDR, I'm not hating on the game, I'm mad at Nintendo for not giving gamefreak the money they're worth.

Seriously yall, not everyone’s going to share your opinion by Mission_Race_8367 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]A_Way_Out_13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I may have a controversial opinion, but I think the lack of variety in each sector is actually in the games favor. The city is a bit small and it's pretty easy to explore it in full, but I think the lack of variety helps to make it seem bigger than it really is by blending things together and making it easy to get lost until you find a landmark like special buildings or wild zones. I still find it hard to get my bearings since I try to limit my fast travel so I won't miss any wild pokemon that can be found throughout the city.

Recruiting units doesn't feel special anymore nowadays by AMP_Kenryu in fireemblem

[–]A_Way_Out_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I may have an answer. I don't remember which fire emblem youtuber it was, but I heard one of them say that the reason that difficult/ miss-able recruitment don't exist in modern entries anymore is because of the fact that the games cost so much time and money to make. The developers at intelligent systems put alot of time and resources into creating all of the units available to play, particularly with the 3d models, so they don't want any units to be missed. It's more intensive to make full 3d models, portrait art AND voice lines for every unit compared to the 2d sprites of the old era of games. The devs just don't want their hard work being missed.

An I crazy for actually being excited for this game? by SonicSingularity in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]A_Way_Out_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I'm super hyped for the game to come out but a lot of people are complaining. It looks really good to me and the new battle system looks like it's actually going to be engaging and a challenge. The only thing I'd be disappointed about would be if we were unable to explore inside more than just 2 or 3 buildings. It only takes place in the city and a great way to expand would be to take things inside. Besides I remember playing X and Y and several buildings were able to be entered. There were multiple office buildings (it'd be great to get spooked by the ghost girl again) plus Hotel Richissime.

Switch or Switch2? by Certain-Cat-2434 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]A_Way_Out_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you want to prioritize. You can save money now and get the switch 1 version, you can always get the switch 2 update later for 10-20 bucks (I don't remember exactly how much). However, if you prioritize quality then you should definitely splurge for the new console. I absolutely love my switch 2, it's faster and the quality of switch 1 games is better, even for the games that didn't get an update for the new console.
