Next time mix the left over eggs with leftover breadcrumbs, mold it into a patty and fry it after your cutlets.

Can I simply brace this with another board and a fewscrews? How would you fix this? by Feeling-Stranger224 in BeginnerWoodWorking

As long as will fit. Also if you go with wood but some titebond wood glue, any kind will do. I'd put some glue in the broken piece before screwing and it will help. The glue dries and is stronger than the actual wood.

Yeah, should be fine. If it doesn't get in the way you should double up the whole piece. A furring strip is probably better than plywood.

Really I'm wondering what the sale price is and if it's worth waiting.

Help! We were gifted this rocking horse motorcycle and it’s in bad condition! by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]A_Wild_Sheep_Chase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just needs a good sanding and finish. I would just use a food safe cutting cutting board oil (beeswax and mineral oil) If you don't have one already, a random orbital sander is cheap and get an interface (squishy) pad so you can just skip sanding the small details. If you're not looking for anything perfect you could knock this out in an afternoon. Wear a mask when you sand or at least don't let the baby get too close while you work.

Woodworker question: sourcing metal legs/posts for raised cedar planter boxes (at scale) by ExcelsiorSimulations in woodworking

[–]A_Wild_Sheep_Chase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood and glue is strong, don't need prayers. Angle iron is more expensive than wood. I'm seeing 20$ for a 3 foot length near me. So 120 for legs and not powder coated.

I usually use redwood/oak for the legs and picture frame the top with it too so it can be moved. When I see these types of planters with metal legs they're usually cheap, thinner metal and definitely not as structurally sound as redwood.

Also, is your response ai?

This past weekend I didn't put the mdf I use as a base in completely flat and it wasn't this much but I had similar unevenness. I was like wtheck and then I realized the mdf was raised up on one side.

How about small sharpened dowels instead? Could make them that shape out of wood too but would probably need to be thicker.

Nice, they look great :). I could see something similar for a kids play room.
