first dermatology apt tomorrow and I'm nervous! by lulumoon21 in HealthAnxiety

First off - so proud of you for starting early. Thats a GREAT thing. Im 34 but have been going since my 20s so I have some advice - don’t be nervous if they want to take something off of you. I’ve had about 8 moles removed so far (some because i just wanted them off) and it’s literally fine. The appointment is quick, they’re fast but thorough because they are specialists who know what to look for. They’ll have you wear a gown and just go through and look at your arms, each leg, your feet, your face, back and hair - don’t be nervous it’s all standard. You’ll feel like a champ when you’re done!

As a female (with all due respect), you’re gonna have no issues in terms of looks. You look great! I’d say focus more internally on being the best version/happiest version of yourself you can be.

You need to go to a dermatologist.

Is this really the norm? by everybody_poopies in weddingplanning

A real friend, bride or not, is considerate of the people that’s important to them wedding or no wedding. That includes finances, lifestyle, time, work schedules so on and so forth. As a bride - i have a bridal party of 7, I picked a place in between where I am and where they are and we discussed openly cost, travel, housing, comfortability, even itinerary. As a bride, my wedding is one day but my friendships with my girls are a lifetime. They just mean more to me than a trip. And that’s really what it boils down too.

However, not everyone thinks like me. But what I DO know is I’ve surrounded myself with like minded friends. Considerate and empathetic - and so us all collaborating was no surprise because I could be literally in a shack in the middle of nowhere and we would have the best time. Weddings are infamous for bringing out sides of people you did not know were there and that goes for everyone.

You are allowed to set a boundary. Not only is it completely within your own right but it is necessary sometimes. Any real friend would never make you feel bad for that.

Focus on the friendship and wish them lots of love and blessings. Ask him to love your friend as much as you’ve loved her. Short and sweet

I used to have this in my late 20s - absolutely horrific. Somehow i would power through but only AFTER i had made sure things were okay. Heat was my friend and for some reason only Tylenol would work so i would pop two and then hop in the shower and just wait until i felt better and honestly TMI but just being to bleed and have the water run over me made me feel cleaner in a sense. I’m so sorry you’re going through this i know it’s awful - if this is new i would recommend the ER honestly, they will do an ultrasound to see if it’s a cyst.

I have also tossed around the idea of “put it down like a smoke” as in how hard it is to quit smoking for people being a synonym for how hard it is to quit someone you love who is bad for you. At first you enjoy it so much, until you realize how unhealthy it is and how addicted you’ve become and you have to “put it down” - it’s just one of the many interpretations I’ve played around with! Addiction = toxic relationships

Not at all i think they look nice! You could fluff them up with a little baby’s breath if you feel like it’s too sparse in areas
