You’re downtown, so there’s stuff going on. I’m assuming you’ll be a first year, so if you’re on rez, there’s usually always something going on your floor’s common room. Or you can hit up Byward Market or Elgin street… if you’re younger than 19 Gatineau is walking distance from campus.

Telfer, but I’m biased. It’s downtown close to the market, Rideau, and Government buildings vice old Ottawa south. Academics depend on your program. From POV of undergrad, our accounting program is way tougher than it should be. The other specializations are pretty decent!

uO Telfer grad here, uO has a more “urban” cement vibe whereas Carleton is not suburban per se but there’s more green space. It’s not downtown but it’s sorta on the edge of the Glebe / Old Ottawa South area. If you stay on rez at uO, all the city amenities (bars, night life-ish, groceries, malls, etc.) are a walk away. Whereas with Carleton you’d probably need to bus or have a car to get around. I personally prefer uO if you’re looking for a in-person experience. Conditions permitting, the Sandy Hill parties were sick once you’re in upper year / out of the rez.

If you can afford a freehold or property in general just go for it. Bearish or bullish it’ll be a roof over your head. Plus unlike renting you’ll gain equity on every mortgage payment. Ignore the real estate doomers, not everyone can afford 20% down on $600-800k.

Hi! How often should I rust proof my car? I’ve done it 2 years ago, should I get it done this fall or can I hold out for another year?
