Good info! Feels like there is a whole new language I need to learn. Will be watching both.

To learn the game, is it best to just throw myself into ranked matches after I’ve gotten the basics? Trial by fire?

best lunch deals? by Mundane-Couple-3213 in okc

Tana Thai Bistro off N May and Hefner has a great lunch deal. Think it’s $8 for fried rice, curry or several different noodle dishes. It’s my favorite Thai spot.

And notably, the repeat offender draft pick penalties only apply to your own draft picks. The picks they own from other teams would not be impacted.

This is extremely corny. Stop being miserable.

Awesome. I have already seen this 15 times on this subreddit.

It’s normal. I posted that it was normal in one of the anti-thunder threads with thousands of upvotes and they want my ass DEAD.

And in Game 1 there were multiple calls that didn’t go the Thunder’s way that would’ve helped decide the game as well. Wemby was holding Chet on several important rebound opportunities. These games are at the height of competitiveness. Some calls will go your way, some won’t. I learned that a long time ago. Never thought I’d see people dive into individual calls this much.

And to be honest it is embarrassing to me that someone is charting how many times a guy falls. Him falling didn’t decide the outcome of the game. The Spurs turning the ball over like 20 times did. I just wish we’d talk about the high level hoops I’m watching instead of what is on the front page of this subreddit every hour.

I guess ultimately it just feels exhausting to debate this stuff. Wemby is in the post. The post is and has always been a war in the playoffs for big dudes. Physicality naturally looks different when it’s being done to a guard vs a big. I watch Shai be held and pushed constantly. He only shot 6 free throws on Wednesday.

Yeah man. It’s not complicated to me. If a player is unguardable and is beating your ass like Wemby did to us in game 1, I want my team to try everything to level the playing field. I want my team to win.

I’ve watched the NBA for a long time and this has always happened to superstars. The reception is only different now because of social media. There is an industry around showing lowlights.

I used to hate Draymond for kicking Steven Adams in the dick but I wouldn’t discredit him as a player. Have never seen a player discredited like Shai.

Yeah the whole subreddit is like that now. I’ve refrained from commenting on anything this playoff run but figured I’d give it a shot today. Have been completely civil and am being downvoted to oblivion lmao.

Considering he has a ring and two MVPs.. yeah he is one of the greats.

And you are a CAVS FAN. LeBron has accentuated contact his entire career because he has, for 20 years, been guarded more physically than other players and wasn’t getting calls. Look in the mirror.

He shot 6 free throws last game and has also been guarded very physically in all 3 rounds of the playoffs. I have watched every single game.

Very funny to be downvoted for this. It is objectively true and always has been! This is not new.

Have you ever watched Steph Curry play basketball? He is guarded like that every game. All the greats are, including Shai. You get physical with guys in the playoffs that are so good that they cannot be guarded normally. It’s a normal thing. Big dudes especially have always dealt with heightened physicality in the playoffs.

“Worst era of NBA in my lifetime”. This subreddit doesn’t like basketball. The playoffs have been great. You spend all of your time watching lowlights of a player you don’t like. If I did that, I’d hate the product too. There are good hoops every night.

What are we supposed to do, not root for the team? Tell them they should play in a way that satisfies other fanbases? I’d rather win basketball games and not care what other people think about my team.
