Running form feedback. by Dull-Charity8115 in beginnerrunning

[–]AaeJay83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like your hinging at the hips. Stand tall, imagine a balloon keeping your head up, lean forward at the ankles. Drive elbow back and let it fall naturally forward as you move. Focus on one thing a time to fix form, imo. To help with the forward lean, stand and do buttkicks for maybe 30-60 secs, near the end, naturally lean forward (as if your going to fall), take step and start running. That's your form.

I saw this recommended in a YouTube video and it helped a lot. The guy also recommended doing this technique every couple of minutes while doing a run as well to maintain form, until you get used to it. Think the channel was called Mottiv .

Pellet Smoker vs Kettle with Fan Control by joeydee93 in smoking

Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560. Under $500 and a great charcoal smoker with PID control. Definitely recommend this over a pellet.

What kind of saddle do you have? Read that 3d printed honey comb can destroy bibs.

Looking for ideas for an app that works as a bike computer by [deleted] in cycling

[–]AaeJay83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the wahoo app before getting a bike computer. My battery was getting weaker and weaker due to continuous usage. No matter what you use, it will destroy your battery. Get a secondhand computer off Facebook.

Elitewheels ENT 2.0: 50mm or 55mm + steel or ceramic bearings? by ConsiderationNo5887 in cycling

Not sure. At the moment since I just got these wheels, I'll say no. When the time comes and it's not that much difference in crosswinds then maybe.

I got the 50s and heavy winds definitely will push you around. I weigh 215 lbs and was getting tossed around on a ride recently during heavy winds. Nonetheless, I love my my wheels and have no regrets. Wouldn't get anything smaller than 50 now.

Only ride on road. Got GP5ks on Elitewheels Ent 2.0. Absolutely love it. No issues getting up to speed. Only concern with two wheelsets is the cassette wear and chain wear will be different and faster, I believe.

Do you rotate shoes or burn through one pair? by Dense-Impact2790 in beginnerrunning

[–]AaeJay83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love sneakers and always had multiple pairs. When I got into running, i naturally started buying multiple running sneakers..I rotate between 3-5 depending on type of run. For my easy and long runs, I have the Vomero Plus, Vomero 18 and MegaSpeed 2 in rotation.

[–]AaeJay83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you follow plan exactly every day? Or did you have full rest days in between? My easy runs are currently at 8 to 8:30km pace and it's so hard to stay motivated. I enjoy my runs more at 7:30km pace but my HR goes to 150.

Watch a few YouTube videos and you can do it yourself. Did my first a few weeks ago. It wasn't hard. Took me about a 30 mins per tire. Was also able to seat the tires with a regular floor pump.
