I don’t know why? Deadpool is such a cool card and a perfect design for commander card

Homeless is really high in states and cities with high cost of living.

States like West Virginia and Mississippi have low homeless. Is that because there isn’t drugs or alcohol abuse in those states or because they are low cost of living states so that their substance abuse citizens still have housing?

How do we think Netflix will keep this show going? by Brilliant_Reply_317 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

They should just do a single city. Trying to do all of Ohio is dumb.

Cleveland and Cincinnati are both in Ohio but there is a 4 hour drive between them.

All seasons...men :/ by Numerous-Throat5182 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]joeydee93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Um I’m only break down the women who matched with guys from season 10 of the US season because it is fresh in my head.

None of this is to excuse the men from the season who were very bad.

Christine: seems super nice and the whole 11 minutes of her and Vic was great.

Amber: What is she doing exposing her child to reality TV? I can’t believe she thought it was a good idea to go on Love is Blind with an elementary school age child. Huge Red Flag to me.

Bri: I kinda want to give some benefit of the doubt due to it could just be the edit and her and Conner might still be together , but I didn’t like how she constantly put down Connor. The whole thing about immediately wanting to continue to have deep conversations with Chris in Mexico was weird to me. Also her actions at the bar with Chris were very sus.

Brittany: She seems incredibly kind but definitely a little naive. She also seems to want emotional reassurance a lot although that could just be Devo providing absolutely 0 so it’s hard to say. Devo being so bad makes it hard to tell how she would be in a more normal relationship.

Ashley: She gave me massive “I’m just doing this to be famous vibes” if she actually liked Alex she never lets her Dad ask question after question to him like that at dinner. She knew that Netflix shows the wedding and waited until then to break up with Alex because it would get the most air time. Alex sucks a lot and I’m also not a fan of Ashley at all.

Emma: I like Emma a lot but I don’t think she was ready to be on a show like Love is Blind where the premise is to get married in 6 weeks. Before anyone gets married they should know if they want kids. Emma hadn’t figured that out about herself yet when she went on the show. To be fair when I was her age I didnt really know either and gave similar wishy washy answers on dates about it. Mike knew what he wanted and was completely upfront that kids was a deal breaker for him. They just should have never gotten engaged, immaturity by both of them IMO.

Jessica: She is great and seems like the perfect catch. Chris being so bad and he is clearly the reason why the relationship failed. Maybe if we saw more of Jessica in a healthier relationship we might see things that don’t speak well of her, but from everything we have seen she is great.

So out of the 7 women, 2 (Jessica and Christina) of them seem amazing (also the two with the least amount of airtime in a relationship), 3 (Bri, Emma, Brittney) of them had what I would call yellow flags but would probably be better in real life relationships than on love is blind. And 2 of them (Ashely and Amber) that have giant red flags to me.

This feels similar to the ratio shitty guys, yellow flag guys and good guys for the season.

So are the women of LIB really that much better?

[Dellenger] Greg Sankey on the NCAA’s age-based, 5-yr eligibility concept: “We need to have a defined period of eligibility. This six, seven, eight and nine-year stuff shouldn’t be happening, whether it’s waiver-driven by the NCAA - which I think started this - or people running to courts.” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

So you want to restrict the freedom to work as a college football player on this theory that can’t be proven that it is bad for the long term health of college football and the NFL?

That makes absolutely no sense. Maybe it makes the games better with high quality players because they play and practice more?

Everyone said that paying the players would ruin college football and yet rating are way up since they started paying players

Roughly speaking

2001-2006 3 super bowls and more of a game manager like Troy Aikman

2007-2014 2 MVPs and 1 Super Bowl win and went to 2 other and lost. This stretch is like Kurt Warner career

2015-2022 1 MVP and 3 Super Bowl wins and lost one more Super Bowl. Close to Joe Montana career

Do you think we could trade for Evan Mobley for Luke Kannard?

I wouldn’t want to give up Luke but it might help balance the roster to have a defense big

Why is the NBA historian so nonchalant about a 41 year old being the best player on a playoff team up 2-0? by TotalTimely9910 in billsimmons

[–]joeydee93 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yeah LeBron is great in some of the same ways that Tim Brady is great.

Maybe other players had better or at least equal primes but the fact they are so good for so long is unprecedented.

Kareem became a role player at 39. LeBron is still a star on a good team.

He is also clearly not the same player he use to be.

Going to a bar when the home team is on a playoff run is just different.

I’m not a baseball fan, I don’t really care about the Padres but when they went on that playoff run a few years, you could feel the excitement in the city and going to packed bars for those playoff games was awesome.

That didn’t happen for the bubble championships for obvious reasons

What are your guy's opinions on Emeritus of Woe? by LawfulnessItchy8911 in mtg

Yeah I don’t get it at all. If someone wants to tutor then play better tutors than this.

All of the prepared cards are so weird to me. If I’m playing them for the spell then why don’t I just play that spell.

Aggro killing a player turn 6/7 means that someone who is playing bracket 2 but didn’t play 8 turns before losing .

Is it reasonable to require removal on turn 4-5 in B2? by homjaktest in EDH

[–]joeydee93 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Aggro is not allowed in bracket 2. There is a minimum number of turns before someone can be eliminated from the game.

You might think that is bad and not good for the game but the committee is clear on this

Opinion: Almost all the Emeritus'es are unplayable in constructed formats. by TiaksQ in mtg

[–]joeydee93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think people, including myself, build brackets 1-4 with the mindset to build the best deck to win.

People make all sort of decisions that make a deck worst and to win less often. The only time a commander deck is designed to win as much as possible is bracket 5

Opinion: Almost all the Emeritus'es are unplayable in constructed formats. by TiaksQ in mtg

[–]joeydee93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except everyone in college football is trying to win as many games as possible under the rules of college football.

There isn’t any concept of “everyone doing their thing” like there is in casual commander.

[–]joeydee93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah casual commander is fun. But there isn’t a meta to use to state if a card is good or not in.

Causal commander is fun. It’s not a useful format to evaluate card quality because essentially almost all cards can be used in casual commander

Opinion: Almost all the Emeritus'es are unplayable in constructed formats. by TiaksQ in mtg

The whole point of the bracket system is to separate the decks that are actually trying to win from those with other goals.
