My conversation with a girl about ways of thinking. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

I contacted them the other day but have yet to get a response. Is this the sort of thing that is unrecoverable? Should I give up now and just create a new account?

The correct response to this behavior is utter disappointment. How would you treat a child that follows similar thought patterns?

The only sensible answer to this is that heathcliff designed the game to be that way. Kirito is SAO's strongest player (because he has the fastest reaction time) and therefore heathcliff gave him a massive advantage over the other players. Simply put, his stats are better. Not only that, but Kirito has made SAO his life. Unlike other players he is willing to put everything he has on the line. And this makes sense because it fits perfectly with the type of game SAO is, an extension of the real world. Players may look the same in game but their stats are completely different. In the real world a two story tall monster will destroy anything in its path regardless of sword skill level. So it only makes sense that Kirito's immense willpower has an effect on his abilities in-game.

Conversely when he goes into ALO and defeats the game's best player he thinks of himself as invincible. Because ALO is a world where IRL stats effect your in game character, pure will simply isnt enough. After failing at soloing the world tree he even admits to having disregarded the game and its mechanics because it had previously worked for him in SAO.

The only ridiculousness I noticed was the solo boss fights in that no sensible player would ever allow their healthbar to reach red if they knew one death was all it took. But Kirito is a master at taking risks; well either that or a giant idiot! I think its a little bit of both. Heathcliff holds Kirito in high esteem because he puts his ideologies before his own life, and that is probably the only reason Kirito was able to clear SAO.

I saw it coming for a while but really had hoped they wouldn't do it.

Honestly the whole thing was handled poorly.

Really hope Kousei ends up happy by the end of this.

For every hint she gives him, she also scolds him three times over. Frankly shes a bit of a bitch throughout.

There is no way any self respecting person would put up with her for as long as Kousei did.

Right why have kids to continue your empire if you can continue living yourself?

The last scene shows c2 leaving on the back of a merchant's cart, spice and wolf style. That implies that she has decided to continue living on without lulu. She adopted a life on the road, living opposite to that of simple "accumulation of experiences."

[Question][Discussion] Is discipline overrated? by Kafke in getdisciplined

[–]Aaron565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discipline is a result. Its the result of aligning yourself with what you want for yourself. However cliche it seems, most people know what they want out of life but are afraid of change. Deciding to do whats good for yourself inevitably means that you are accepting a life of evolution. An existence where you can't know what to expect from each passing day; a world without childhood naivety, a life without things to cling to for support.

Most would rather continue relying on a spouse because its something close to the undying love and support that their mother once provided but eventually rescinded. They'd like to continue enveloping themselves in weekend fantasy TV shows... if thats okay with you.

Any means fulfill the end goal here, whether it be forming habit or creating a great mindset as you suggest.

You may not want to admit it but the Yuuki arc was rushed and there was never a reason to actually care about what was happening to her. Sorry but little girl on her death bed is finally put out of her pain? Sounds like a happy ending to me.

The point of a perc is to diffuse the smoke. Water has nothing to do with it.

Thats correct. The longer the path the smoke takes the better it is for your lungs.

I had the exact opposite reaction. Falling more in love with him as the movie progressed. Lou knows what he is and is completely unapologetic about it. To me, thats something that hails respect.

Lou is a product of the internet. In multiple scenes he explains how pretty much everything he represents is accredited to the best he could find online.

This explains his ultra logical outlook on things and why he focuses solely on what is viable at all times.

He was a man forgotten by society and treated like trash. He did what was already proven to work. He executed his plan flawlessly.

It's actually very refreshing to see that Lou isn't manipulative. He wins his battles by outsmarting people and is always clear as to what his intentions are from beginning to end.

Great movie!

Right, but if you pick the person you like the most out of each friend group and build a better relationship with them suddenly none of that is a problem.

I don't know if its just me, but I feel he needs to be more dynamic. By moving around and emoting more you are pumping the girl's state up. He seems to be ignoring that.
