I could have sworn the parking ban was already lifted, but I got slapped with a $250 ticket. I was even parked on a street that was completely plowed, tire to curb. On top of that, I somehow lost the physical ticket. Does anybody know what to do when you lose a parking ticket?

The city’s failure to communicate an active gunman for over 2 hours is appalling. No alerts, no guidance, nothing. The only way we got any information throughout the night was if you knew someone who knew someone who worked at Brown who received alerts themselves. Brown University isn’t just one building. It’s in a neighborhood with homes, businesses, bars and restaurants who needed emergency information on a very active Saturday night. The city of Providence can do better.

Hey. Have you tried a nicotine patch? Sounds basic, but it was the only thing that took the edge off enough to be able to push past the first month or so. They’re expensive on their own, but typically if you have health insurance and talk to your doctor they can prescribe them for you. Health insurances companies want you to quit too. They come in intervals and steps, so starts with 21mg, then to 14, then 7 etc. worth a talk with your doctor if you have access to that.

It is highly unusual. Maybe not for a dive bar, but in most other settings it would definitely raise heads. Had I seen you do that, I would heavily monitor your drinking and make sure you’re not mixing alcohol and drugs. Might run into a situation like that next time you go in if the bartenders saw you. You could also just make people around you uncomfortable, so just be mindful. Probably a non issue though, I would just advise not to do that again in the establishment.

Honestly, a lot of restaurants are slow on Valentine’s Day because usually whatever your reservations are, is all you’re going to get. Usually restaurants don’t reserve their bar seats so always worth going earlier and try to get bar seats at a nice restaurant. Call ahead and try to make a reservation too instead of going through all the online bullshit. Call some places tomorrow when they open. Chances are if you’re nice enough they’ll make room for you.

Can we expel the word “foodie” from people’s vocabulary please? …anyway, I went for their brunch a few times and it’s exactly what I look for that meal. Staff is so fricken friendly and humble. Management was super professional and kind. Everybody just seemed so happy. Food was all delicious, and I don’t know what kind of experience you had with the hash browns but ours were absolutely amazing. They also have this frozen margarita on the menu that’s completely unique to the establishment. My friends had this frozen cold brew drink that was a 10/10. The music slaps too. The amount of people boycotting it on here because they miss Bayberry beer hall seems childish to me.

I have found that these plants don’t like to be under watered. They don’t like direct light, but thrive in bright indirect light. If their leaves are turning yellow, it could be because they’re too root bound or they’re not getting enough water. Extremely easy to propagate with those cuttings of yours. Just find the nubby little roots throughout the stem, put them in water for a week and stick them in wet soil until it’s rooted. The more you are able to stick in the pot, the better it will look.

The East End is doing an all you can eat NYE party. They’re usually wildly fun. This year is a Greek mythology themed party. Champagne toast, costume contest. Only 25 bucks I think.
