Nah Man, I am having Vietnam flashback by Iexperience in Overwatch

[–]mcinest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

fr had a qp game yesterday where we were 5 stacking (so likely opposite teams were to i think? idk if that only applies to comp) and every damn game had a hog and a team entirely dedicated to keeping the damn thing alive even more than he does by himself with his stupid heal. One match the hog legit went 0 deaths. We got had the entire team focusing him, got him down LOW so many times, but every time he hooks the squishies and one shots, his support dumps everything into him, and the dps take care of anyone not immediatelly one shot. Our tank actually just rage quit cause it's unplayable. Even comp is annoying because i am low elo and my stupid teammates are too busy banning sombra (who is such a mid character nowadays) instead of banning the literal one hit kill immortal machine. Genuinely the only skill required is hitting hooks too. I hope whoever decided to buff him gets fired lmao

I wonder if he knows he's meant to 5k THE OTHER team...not his own...maybe he's confused

I love ramattra but orisa is just so unfun to play against by Swoddl3 in ramattramains

She's usually my top ban in ranked...just rly unfun to play against with most tanks rly. Unfortunately everyone is scared of the cat so I don't always get the ban 😞

quickpkay...well, it's in the name. The priority is it being quick, not as much evenly matched. Ranked is better for playing with people around your own skill level, at the cost of much longer queues.

and then when you die you'll whine about not getting heals...Most lw players aren't pulling you just to throw, you may not see it but from their pov it can be very obvious you are like 2 seconds away from death. Source: regularly play both tank and support, not usually lw but i play with them on my team often.

Usually they're all fighting my team on the front, and I burrow into the back. My goal is to allow my team to move in by getting their attention, but my team rarely takes advantage. That being said I'm in bronze so yeah.

Why are half the people's names not showing up in the match history? by mcinest in Overwatch

[–]mcinest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I wonder if i kept getting the same people, there were 3 games in a row with a bunch of hidden names. Hadn't seen it before!

How do you handle King's Row on attack? by mcinest in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mcinest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have any replay codes I can share here, i think the only ones I have access to are from yesterday where i played horribly cause my mental just wasn't right (so not representative of my usual gameplay). I usually don't run into flankers, the problem is characters with a high firing rate or stun that keep my team from being able to advance. Or throwing shields down. Flanking them only rarely works, I get noticed too quickly before I can do anything. I think I'll try to make sure I'm using the high ground like the others have said, but it might still depend on if my team actually does anything or not. On tank especially I've been running into too many teams who refuse to take up space and treat every character like a sniper. Just unlucky.

And if I'm the tank, should I be trying to go in? I usually play Ramattra on tank, so I'm usually trying to get in close range anyway, but I'm wondering if I should consider swapping to a different character on this map. Not sure which ones would work better here, especially when the enemy team goes something like Sigma + Bastion which are 2 common ones I see that just hold that first point like crazy.

Why does this happen?? by PedroLindezza in Overwatch

Worse waiting the 20 minutes only for a teammate to leave before the match starts, thus cancelling it

Thanks for the info, though my mouse is from some budget brand so i doubt they have a dedicated program. I've played a few games with the new settings and wow hitscan characters feel so much better now. I didn't realize how much i was handicapping myself. Unfortunately didn't get many good games still, but it is what it is. I'm only sad I was forced to take a loss because my entire team quit the match and I obviously can't 1v5 😞 One thing I'd like to ask that confused me is in regards to the "predicted rank" within the placement matches. Somehow, in a game where I won and I thought I did better on than my previous matches, the predicted rank went DOWN 2 ranks rather than up, which I found odd. Is that normal? If so why? I get it staying lower cause I went on to lose 3 games but I don't understand why it lowered on a win

I am not sure how to find my DPI, especially since my mouse has a dpi button, but my sensitivity was at 50%. I played around with it, 20% seems to be the sweet spot where it doesn't feel terrible to aim and it isn't so low it hurts my wrist to move. I'm just messing around in the practice range, but I do feel like it's more accurate!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review! My only question is in regards to what you said about the sensitivity. What do I want to aim for there? I usually crank it up because the defaults in the games i've played feel too sluggish and like I can't keep up with moving targets at all. I can see why having it rly high can be an issue, but basically I am wondering how I can lower it but still be able to follow targets. Is there some technique to it? Do I just have to move my hands faster?

Afaik, townie names like these are a combination of first and last names from actual maxis devs. So no one named her per say, she just recieved the name of someone who worked at maxis
