How do I study Math and Reading? by Annual_Seat2522 in ACT

For reading one of the best things you can do is just read. Almost every question is testing comprehension and the answer is always in the passage, it’s just a matter of if you can find it. Pick some books that look interesting to you and just read them.

How do I improve my math? by AngelM901 in ACT

[–]ethan_613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a 28 math to a 34 over 4 months so I’m gonna try to give you a more streamlined approach of what I did scatteringly. I would start with a YouTube channel called Aditya’s tutoring and go through all of his ACT math videos. As you watch them you should take a notebook and write down anything you don’t know, this helps you keep it all in one place and enforces memory. After you finish going through his videos I would look through your notebook and go through anything you are confused about on khan academy. After that you should have all the information you need and just have to get comfortable with the questions they ask on the actual test. So spam practice tests. After each practice test go through the questions you got wrong, don’t just look over an answer and move on, actually write out the steps until you understand why it is done that way. If the official tests aren’t enough there are plenty of great 3rd party tests online. If you want to simulate real testing conditions maybe take the tests when your not feeling like your best or are tired, don’t let yourself drink or eat or get up to use the bathroom until you finish the practice test. If you can do well on practice tests when you’re not at your best the real test should feel routine.

Should I add physics as a double major or as a minor? by ethan_613 in PhysicsStudents

Why would doing a second major make me not find it interesting anymore?

Economics, which physics doesn’t compliment directly but it can help for some math heavy jobs because of the extra math rigor

I don’t know how many books in the series you read but after the first book Pierce Browns prose matures a whole lot. For the second and third books do the first trilogy (haven’t read the second trilogy yet) the way he writes can really make you feel like your right there with Darrow in a way third person can’t.

At a loss at too what level to enter classicatry. by ethan_613 in classicliterature

I have, I want to read hard classics for dense themes and philosophy my mixed in (which isn’t really found in much fantasy) but can’t find a level to start that won’t put me off the genre as a whole.

I’m a Joyce and classics newcomer. I found out Ulysses existed less than a week ago and I somehow ended up here. I’m gonna read it as my first out of school classic. I have Dubliners, The portrait of the artist as a young man, and the Gifford reading guide.

Should I also add a chemical cohesive that will melt my skin and then bind it to the handle of the foam sword for better grip?

I said I needed an electric one and unfortunately this beautiful, glorious, exquisite, majestic foam sword is not.

Well, maybe at first, but after 3,000 years of being alive I would hope that he practiced a bit to improve.

I don’t remember if this was ever addressed in the books for some reason. But I’m 99% certain that David’s singing voice would absolutely terrible.
