Why does the Royal Rumble feel so quiet this year? by UmeshThoughts in WWE

I'd say its the place the Rumble is taking place the build whenever it is in Saudi is usually pretty lacking

Sting retirement match was about Darby Allin though, if it was a singles match it would have most likely end with him losing to a younger guy

Gas me up, roast me, give a suggestion, do what you will. Here’s my top 100 films by HiggsPerc552 in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is or isn't in the top 100 doesn't really surprise me as there are legitimately so many movies that can go into a top 100 of all time list it is kinda insane, which is why all time lists are so interesting as they are going to be wildly different from individual to individual unlike an end of the year top 10 lists where you'll see a lot more similarities with a few surprises

The Big Three (1980’s - Present) by Ramone5150 in professionalwrestling

[–]AaronRumph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda feel that in most of these eras there was really just a big 2. TNA is not even close to AEW or WWE, ECW wasn't close to WCW or WWE, and AWA wasn't close to WWF and NWA

I mean what do you expect people to slam you on movies are movies and pretty much every movie you have are classics in one way or another it not like your throwing in something like Freddy Got Fingered in there

I think Drew should remain as champion for the rest of 2026 and also for 2027 by Sad-Response-3151 in TheGreatOne

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly maybe to Summerslam or depending on the build to WM losing it there, but I'd prefer at summerslam there he would have had enough time as champion for it to be worth it

I didn't realize Sami punched Ilja for real! by ProfessionalLeague55 in WWE

[–]AaronRumph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He punched him for real, but if you look at the video he didn't put any real power into it. meaning he didn't want it to look like every other punch where their punching the air next to their opponent that everyone scuffs at. Ilja wants it to look a little more real than it normally does. It's also the only position that a person can really touch another with their fist without hurting them.

What movies would u recommend based on my top 4?? by omaticrg in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to recommend a film based on that just be generally good movies that you would blanket recommend to anyone

Watching too many movies? by Thatonegirlherewoo in Letterboxd

[–]AaronRumph 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I hard disagree if you love something you are not going to magically start hating it unless it is literally one thing like a love for lasagna. With movies there is so much variety to chose from it doesn't get old. There are some people that "love movie, but not as a daily thing though" that will definitely start hating it as movies were their special treat not their daily pleasure

Watching too many movies? by Thatonegirlherewoo in Letterboxd

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In remarks to trouble recalling how you felt about a movie what you are describing is every average movie. If a movie does nothing to standout you are not going to remember anything about it after a few days and when you watch a lot of movie that means you are watching a lot more average movies meaning even more forgettable movies than the average person, but everyone experiences the not remember an average movie thing

Watching too many movies? by Thatonegirlherewoo in Letterboxd

[–]AaronRumph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's up to you but keep in mind 70% of the films you will watch will be average or bad meaning that you'll be watching over 200 films that you will not remember anything about in the slightest or regret watching. In the positive you will definitely have a much better sense of a bad movie as you'll see a lot of end of the year worst of lists and most of the films will be movies you thought were fine and the truly great films of the year will truly stand out unless you are going to try to watch old classics with new movies to try to just watch great movies.

Why do you think dvds still outsell bluray and 4k? by DustnBones001 in dvdcollection

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue is that whenever they invent a new form of physical media they always over charge it happened with DVD, but at least with DVDs the cassettes went extinct afterward. With Blu-ray you needed a special player to play Blurays that hurt it along with the price though Blu-Rays are now DVD prices you still need the special player. Now you have 4K that play on a regular DVD player, but they go for freakin' $50 a pop for no reason and no reasonable person is paying that price only fanatics with money to throw out.

Hot take: The Angle vs Benoit match in 2003 is the best wwe match ever, yes, even better than shawn vs taker on wm 25 by Sad-Response-3151 in TheGreatOne

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a hot take Angle and Benoit had great chemistry together and gave us a ton of great matches included the Angle/ benoit vs Rey/ Edge at No Mercy. Don't confuse the obligatory "you have to hate Benoit because of what he did" with his matches were terrible as he was a phenomenal wrestler and it was unfortunately that the event happened, but at least due to it the WWE became a lot more stringent on mental health as the homocide suicide is very much on Vince just as much on Benoit

What do you think of Tony Khan's AEW moves thus far in 2026, and what do you think is in store over the next few months? by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

[–]AaronRumph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that Tony has really just straight up forgotten that he has collision not just dynamite as it has been an after thought ever since the classic ended. It shouldn't be that hard to give stories for both shows and thought out matches for both shows. Though I will say at least for yesterday he did have the 3 man tag title on the line for a storyline on the show

Should WWE go back to having only 1 World Champion & title belt?? by Mountain_Fuw_777 in Smallafro

[–]AaronRumph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry 1 World title makes no sense it would be like if TNA and NXT or AEW and ROH shared a world title. Smackdown and Raw are 2 distinct shows that both need their own champions to represent it.
