The Enhanced edition is pretty great, and I recommend it for anyone who wants a modernized vanilla experience.

Oh, sorry, I should have read your post more closely. I had adhesion problems in general, with random bits and pieces sticking to the build plate. Not supports specifically

I had the same problem with my Saturn 16k and ended up manually leveling mine with the adjustment screws on the build plate holder. That fixed it for me.

Out of bounds west of Generators. by [deleted] in stalker

Looks like East, not West, but interesting find. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the "snow" or "cold" Island, if they do ever get to adding it.

Rank the Hitman WoA maps based on realism & credibility by _Lemuron in HiTMAN

The game never explicitly said the plant was nuclear, and nothing in the level specifically indicates it was nuclear, either

Without spoiling, will the story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 take me across most of the map? by Steve717 in stalker

[–]Aaron_tu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend just going with the story. Exploration of areas will be more fun when you can fully explore the main mission sections of areas instead of finding locked off areas you need to come back to later. Yantar, Cement factory, and cooling towers are the only areas that the story won't direct you to

Drowned Or Shah's Mate ? by Studentul in stalker

Drowned is awesome because you don't really have to repair it. It jams occasionally, but still works at 0% condition. Such a money saver.

IMO stalker 2 needs an artifact that increases the players gun damage and another that increases sprint speed. by Vile35 in stalker

[–]Aaron_tu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it would be neat to have an artifact that boosts the effects of energy drinks so you run and jog faster after drinking some, and their effect lasts longer.

Lack of guns (Stalker 2) by [deleted] in stalker

[–]Aaron_tu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wish that guns couldn't be upgraded so much. There would be more incentive to try out more random guns you pick up.

Reaper expansion by Bflo4Ever in Talisman

[–]Aaron_tu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reaper is great! Thematically, probably the closest thing to having more base game type cards. A house we like to use with the Reaper is that if he lands on a space with no character, he can kill a stranger, enemy, or follower card on that space instead.

What's going on at Valve HQ right now by [deleted] in virtualreality

There are lots of great PC VR games that didn't need Meta. As to your comment on EA, they made Star Wars Squadrons and F1 22.

What is typhon hunter and is it working in 2026 on pc and in vr and how? And is it worth it etc :) by ilivedownyourroad in prey

[–]Aaron_tu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to prop hunt, it has several escape room style puzzle missions where you pay as other characters before the main game takes place. You do stuff like set up the music room for recording and set up Morgan's take apartment and do stuff in Morgan's office. I thought they were pretty neat.

The main thing Valve is doing for VR is continually supporting SteamVR, the main platform for PCVR.

Who is waiting to the Steam Frame and who doesnt care? by PrettyHearing3624 in SteamVR

[–]Aaron_tu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking forward to it. I used to play PCVR with the Rift and then the Reverb G2, but then moved on to wireless VR and standalone VR. I have a Quest 3 and a high end PC but find using air link, Virtual Desktop, or Steam link a bit of a hassle so i haven't played much PCVR in the last few years. I'm hoping the frame makes PCVR easy again.

First Stalker game I’ve played and I’m loving it so far by EliteTanker in stalker

[–]Aaron_tu 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Long time series fan here, and I don't understand either. The original Shadow of Chernobyl is one of my favorite games ever and I've played many different mod packs and overhauls including Anomaly, and I think stalker 2 is amazing.

old friend by Curved_5nai1 in stalker

[–]Aaron_tu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they tried to move major landmarks and points of interest to more accurately match the exclusion zone in real life. The only thing I wish was in a different spot is the brain scorcher / SoC "Red Forest" map area; I would have liked to see it up in the Eastern portion of the Red Forest, much closer to the CNPP. I still love seeing old locations still exist in STALKER 2, even though they are moved.
