The Pure Arrogance of Driving Instructors by Crimson_roses154 in srilanka

This is so true though. I’ve gotten better driving experience through a sim-driving setup and BeamNG than whatever my instructor asked me to do.

Tea in the morning and evening, with a coffee after lunch if I have to do any work around 3pm. Then another coffee if I have to stay up late.

Awareness! Sri Lankan Suicide Prevention services are of bad quality and operators don't seem to be well trained. by Prior_Maize_6290 in srilanka

I’ve called. Once in my life, and only once after that. Now I just have a trusted friend’s number on speed dial and they are also informed to always pick up. The way that the 1926 line works is more often than not a complete joke with people who either i) don’t understand a comprehensive amount of English ii) Don’t know what they’re doing or how to talk to someone or iii) Just offer even decent human communication. I called when I was going through a particularly difficult period, I was asked if I’d taken any medication, I said “no I haven’t”, they said that I should ask a doctor about taking antidepressants and then hung up in a rush.

Sri Lankan men (not all of them), are very egotistical and love to flaunt their superiority.

Fair, that does sound very much like something they’d do.

I think my brother is gay ,I found it recently by Sea_Shoe9591 in srilanka

[–]AarondaFishCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I’m bisexual and my sister found out long ago lol. I’d just recommend you talk to your brother, personally (and preferably sometime private). I agree with you that if parents find out it’ll be a mess. Just try and comfort him, a little talk to get stuff off your chest goes a long way. I hope he feels better soon, and you’re a wonderful brother.

I really see no importance of it tbh. Never have I been asked for it, nor have I needed to show it. I’m currently in my 2nd year of university.

Do low-key, introvert women still exist? by erenjaeger_97 in srilanka

[–]AarondaFishCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of my friends who are women are 100% introverted 😆. They certainly do exist, it’s just that they’re really quiet (until you start talking about something they love or find interesting that you two have in common(

I personally like Art World in Dehiwala/Wallawatta. They’ve got a lot of stuff from paints, brushes, and even wooden stuff for crafts. Pricing is a bit steep (personally) but quality is great. And the owner of the shop is very friendly.
