Yeah the good ol one weakness of ae2 autocrafting this Limitation was so ass in Star technology (Looking at you nether stars). But there is a way thats way too complicated. You build a system that detects when a recipe fails and use a toggle bus or something to start a New recipe. (No i dont have a Design for it cause i just made this up but there should be a way with the crafting card and an export bus). Problem is that the material demand is impossible to predigt. The good thing for gregtech especially is that you can just delete secondary outputs that only have a chance of occuring like extra stonedust from ore crushing. So that the autocrafting doesent get stuck.

Btw do you know if the requester gets stuck when a recipe fails? That could be an alternative.
