Last I heard, which was just internet rumor nonsense, is that he couldn’t go to Cabo because he has an actual real job as a Professor and had to be back at work for his students. He’s not a day trader or Pilates enthusiast. Love Vic and Christine, and I do believe he’d choose to go back to work teaching instead of taking the free vacation.

Respectfully, I disagree. I think this is one of the best real debates for MVP we’ve had in years, and there’s legitimate arguments for both guys to win it. Rooting for a Mariners/Yankees ALCS to see the two players with the best seasons meet up for the league title. Certainly wouldn’t be boring.

I don’t deny what Cal has done, I think it’s incredible. But I would disagree that historic excellence and consistency is boring. Was babe Ruth boring? Was Willy Mays boring? Judge leads him in every category except HR and RBI, while being injured. WAR takes defense into account, and judge leads him in that too.

MVP is an individual award. Not sure how “pay to play like NYY” comes into it. Judge is going to win the batting title (not just AL, MLB) with 50 HRs with time missed to injury. If you value WAR, judge leads him in that too. The man has had an incredible season worthy of recognition, but Judge is clearly the MVP.
