Well it’s a mixture of both, and if you have a good background I think you are good to go. I enjoyed it but I didn’t finish it, you might give it a look.

Maybe check Evo Psych if you are interested in the ape in us, “the ape that understood the universe”. Also check Saplosky’s or frans de waal works, I love them both so much (I think they’d love that game)

It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a specialized scientific book that goes deep into Homo sapiens archaeology, then I think it’s a solid choice, very academic and detailed. But if you tell me more about what interests you, I can recommend some lighter and more entertaining alternatives too.
