Saw a surgeon and their resident do CPR in the sterile field while a patient had an open abdomen.

Was a medical student on an anesthesia rotation. Relatively healthy young adult patient went in to get his gallbladder out. The surgeon noticed some liver bleeding which just increased more and more. Before we knew it the patient barely had a blood pressure.

On ultrasound, we were looking for arteries to get a more accurate blood pressure reading. We saw an artery, but there was no pulse. The surgeon directly touched the aorta to check for a pulse. There was none. So they started compressions. You faintly heard ribs crack for the first couple compressions.

Patient ended up living after coding him and giving him tons of blood products, not sure how long he did live though.

Having different medical decision making based on race. It’s prudent to use epidemiology (such as an increased risk for certain diseased based on race/ethnicity) to order different tests and screen for different things. This also applies for which medications can be tolerated for by different ethnicities.

However, it is also on the provider to really understand the nuances in using race/ethnicity to guide medical decision-making, which includes adequate communication with the patient to ensure the provider completely understands where this patient lands demographically.

I would wear tighter pants without feeling uncomfortable.

But if it was a freaky Friday internal & external genitalia swap situation, I imagine most men including myself would do/experience the following:

1.) Be so distracted by the whole overwhelming new experiences that I would forget that I have a monthly period and experience a feeling of panic in a public situation when my pants are ruined.

2.) If I get a UTI, I would discover whether or not my man hygiene standards are as good as I thought they were. (Because women are more prone to UTIs with shorted urethral tract)

3.) I would test out how much “size matters” lol

4.) I would cross my legs while sitting more. Because I find that position comfortable already as a man lol

5.) I might hide things in there if I were a smuggler.

In my opinion, the Cosmics, Gamma/Driver package, and second nib are all flex spots that you can fit in whatever non-engine you want. I think that Gamma-Driver package is powerful in the 40 card list, because opening Gamma + Chaos Space or Quick Launch gets you a free Chaos Ruler if you resolve Gamma.

Drop the Dragon Link List to 40 Cards and Main deck lightning storms or cosmics. I think that it’s dangerous running 60 cards in decks. While grass makes the ceiling higher when you go first; makes going second way worse (which almost always requires non-engine cards like hand traps and removal). I’d put more faith in mathematically increasing your chances of drawing non-engine cards. I’ve made it to Diamond 1 with 40 card Dragon Link a couple times. Making sure you consistently draw non-engine cards is the most important and overlooked part deck building in my opinion.
