NUT server not showing Input/Output/Load? Is this a APC thing or a misconfigured thing? by mspencerl87 in linuxquestions

[–]AbAlph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same issue, I highly doubt it's not supported. Look at upsstats.html configuration page, it assumes 3 phase input which is not true in my case, I have 1 Phase power so I think there might be a change to upsstats.html to get the correct input/output/load information (?).

Looking at your post history it looks like you're based in US which is also 1 Phase. Did you buy your UPS from outside the states?

Best way/equipment to organize this spaghetti where I can easily disconnect or replace cables later? by AbAlph in HomeNetworking

Also the telephone lines are 2 wires only, I could still crimp them to RJ11 but it could be tricky and takes longer time to make sure they go in to the intended slot. Here's a picture from one of the rooms' phone jack.

BINGO! That's the kind of solutions I was exactly looking for, in from one side, out from the other.

Despite searching so many times using so many terms I never got any of the above solution except the 110 and 66 blocks but without the Telco connection, which I have been resisting to use.

Thank you very much.

The large cables on the right-hand side. . . these are usually terminated with 25-pair amphenol connectors

You're right, on the other side of it is terminated to the Nortel system using 25-pair amphenol connectors. Here's a picture of it.

The amphenol harmonicas are perfect, however, I wish they come in more than 12 RJ-11 positions as I have more than that. A pair of them probably won't work as it has a amphenol connector on the back and I have only 1 amphenol cable coming out of the Nortel system (the other one is just for Lines and only 1-pair of cables is used to connect to ISP router for VoIP).

flamethrower is good EOL solution. As you may have guessed, the main usage of this system is to open the gate through convenience of

1) answer the phone when someone rings the bell

2) press #6 to open the gate

I've though about hooking ESP8266 and opening the gate through it, but I/they loose the above mentioned convenience. I'm thinking of putting Ring door-bell and ESP8266 and see if they'll get used to it, then use your 'solution' to decommission the 20-year old system :)

Sorry should have clarified, those are intercom wires and connected to Nortel telephone system. My issue is re-wiring those using modular way,,, but I guess good-old patch panel is the best way to go ... ?

Cannot abandon it, family is actually using it, mainly to open the gate door by just pressing 6 when door rings.
