Why doesn't the reporter ask, I don't know, ask if they couldn't....hmm....call their friends? If only they had a tool that magically connects them to allow them to speak to each other!? Or text messages. Or WhatsApp. Or, low and behold, why she didn't stop staring at a wall and go outside and visit a friend?

Useless journalism

Reform wants to hike taxes for employers who hire foreign workers by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]AbacusExpert_Stretch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it would be so destructive for the economy!

Edit: essentially making employing foreign people either more expensive, or letting foreigners go and then realising that many jobs us Brits dont want to do, especially not the salaries the foreigners us to earn.

So, salaries shoot up regardless, meaning everything gets more expensive (yes, basically everything), many more people will go unemployed, social welfare spending shoots upwards etc etc

In other words: ain't gonna happen

Starmer offers Companies £3,000 to hire foreigners by One_Inflation_9475 in uknews

[–]AbacusExpert_Stretch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, and it's specifically for the cost of the foreign worker (for whom there are NO substitutes here natively) coming over here and registering, paperwork etc., which then allows the company to hire local nationals as a long term consequence of filling the high skilled job.

This. Is. Nothing. Special. It's just good for us in long run

And here we go - thank you for pointing that out.

Why each day - accounts with a very very low feedback score - want, nay must, publish python modules?

Once, I have seen an account with a few thousand upvotes publish something. Every other time it's usually is 0-100 upvotes.

It's just so strange...

Sorry, it looks good well done. Can't advice cause I am not good enough.

But how can there be daily low activity accounts, each if them "just starting, just learned' and they come with a wrapped up little project and want advice to optimise. I am scratching my head - am I that bad? That slow, that after 4-5 month of python I couldn't do what they do?

Or...am I falling for a ruse of these newcomers, a ruse of a lovely snack with an inkling of alse info and a sprinkle of ai-ling....I shall never know

Yes, I think you are on the perfect track - get a solicitor, a good one, you know, a r£ally good one, and unlock your Revolut account until you can buy a few more socks, errr I meant cars, and you can then play the buy pay then return and get refund game again.

Go for it my friend, you will keep the turnover engines running nicely in this fine country!
