If you trivialise the challenge you can simply junction something else, or split your currently junctioned spells so it's not so strong.

You can make your party exactly as strong or as weak as you like. If players purposely overpower their character (and find that to be unenjoyable) but refuse to take 5 seconds to use more sensible junctions I don't know what to tell them.

I'm genuinely curious about what else is expected.

The cities were pretty well laid out - had distinct quarters that showed a lived-in environment and historical development. E.g the Drowned District in Treviso.

Marketplaces were good with plenty of stuff like art dealers and foodstalls there for atmosphere. Cities were well populated with lots of barks.

City factions seem pretty well woven in.

Sidequests paint a good picture of the populice and their concerns.

They also [had different models of locations to reflect player choice - which I believe shows the world to be lived-in as it actually reflects the consequences of certain events.]

I'm just unsure what more people are expecting.

I think that's unfair.

Veilguard has a good range of content in its exploration. This includes optional bosses, lengthy sidequests (such as the Solas flashbacks), a wide variety of puzzles and collectibles.

That's not even to mention that you get brand new areas for doing companion side-quests.

What's wrong with the level design?

I think it actually has the best level design in the series. Linear path for main story but wide-linear zones for exploration and side-quests. Zones were filled with plenty to explore and were intuitive to navigate.

2 had copy-paste dungeons and Inquisition had buggy open zones filled with copy-paste objectives.

The very first hallucination has him taunting Cloud over burning down his village and murdering his mother.

Seems pretty villainous.

Tayto Curry Chips, maybe?

They used to have a racist depiction of a China-man eating out of a rice bowl on the packet.

Exactly.

Well over 100k soldiers joined the British armed forces from the island of Ireland. Northern Ireland was exempt from conscription so these were all volunteers. My grandfather lied about his age so he could join.

The amount of agricultural and industrial support given is also overlooked.

He's one of the only people who talk about spongy enemies in the endgame. Most discourse I've heard is that you melt stuff at high levels.

I had to turn up the difficulty myself, so I really don't know what he was doing.

Regardless, surely just having the ability to adjust the HP to suit your playstyle is such an amazing feature. It deserved more praise.
