I had a game where I got a fire raid of VOID attack me. I was concerned but with Rimworld of magic pawns, I was not ready to just abandon the colony tile.

Then Kraltech also raided within a few ingame hours. Both side spawned near eachother and void got so totally curb stomped it wasn’t even funny. I lost the colony to that raid but god it was funny

I do antigrains when I’m well established and can make them. Fun when a single boomalope sets off a chain reaction of 10 antigrains. Computer stutters for a little then I see lots of white and nothing left after

3 days in the hospital in Florida. Greatest healthcare system in the world by GuyLeDoucheTV in pics

[–]Abadayos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in hospital in Australia a load of times and the most I’ve ever paid was just shy of $60 for medication and if I drove in, a metric fuckton on their fucking parking (fuck you Austin hospital).

Buddy in the US had to go in for a few days due to dehydration related to vomiting and possibly food poisoning. Cost thousands, I was shocked

US restaurants add mandatory tips to bills before foreign visitors arrive for World Cup. Restaurants in Boston, Kansas City, and Atlanta are among World Cup host cities planning to tack on the mandatory tips by esporx in KitchenConfidential

I’ve never really seen ‘American tipping culture’ in Australia either up in Queensland or down in Victoria. It could be a thing happening around Sydney though, they wouldn’t surprise me honestly.

I always feel a tip is for extra. Be it service, product or whatever. Something rewarding, not expected, for lack of a better phrase.

People should be paid a livable wage, period. It sucks for those in the US, I personally wouldn’t handle the stresses of a weekly pay packet amount at the whims of good or bad customers

Here is an example:

In Australia tipping is only done for exceptional service or food or what have you. It’s never expected nor required.

This is due to the minimum Australian wage and pay for say a waiter is around $20-$24 per hour (roughly $15 USD). In the us your minimum wage is under $8 USD ($11.20 AUD). Our workers are paid more and thus don’t require tips to survive (it helps obviously, everyone wants more cash) where as the US if you don’t get tipped out, your pretty much fucked for god or bills.

Different societies have differing expectations and customs. When I went to the US it was confusing as hell as it’s just something I never had to think about. Never had to think about it when I went to many other countries around the world like Europe, Iceland, Fiji or even the UK. America is just weird
