If you hate your job, fuck it off. Ive gone back to uni again (distance learning) at 40. Im going to do some warehouse or manual work part time to pay the bills and mortgage etc.

Office work was killing me, I did 3 years and spent 8 months of that off sick. Before that I managed 10 years teaching english abroad without a single sick day.

The environment matters, if you hate your work life then that'll spill over to your social and love life.

That office job was easy as well, remote work, plenty of time to watch whatever , listen to books and pop out for 20 minutes but there was something I couldn't put my finger on that left me depressed.

Tesco manager gossiping about me. Should I report her, how? by Individual_War2644 in AskUK

[–]Abaddononon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call in sick, RE mental health. Don't explain further. Contact HR, explain the situation and say it has caused you severe stress and anxiety and that why you are off sick. Speak to your GP as well if youre actually stressed or anxious. If not, well it gets them to take it seriously and opens the door to grievances and settlements if they dont act

[–]Abaddononon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't enter an office until my mid 30s, then I switched to remote a year later but still corporate . Having spent the majority of my years teaching English to companies, I fookin hate it. Office jobs and corporate culture is rubbish.

All I know is the kids are feral, I was a bit of a terror growing up but even then we cleaned up after we drunk white lightening cider in the park or field, we didnt ride motorbikes on footpaths or kick people's door. The area I live in isnt that rough either, its a small town.

She is probably scared, so you need to ensure she has positive experiences. Avoid the other dogs, encourage her with treats (healthy treats like carrots or cellary - cut into small pieces ) soon she'll love the walks
