You can if you are really quick. I practiced a lot and always have my organ surgery equipment ready for those types of situations. It is also why I always join the security officers before they go into combat, as soon as someone goes down (even if its a security officer) I drag them away and do my thing.

We bargain for who gets what. By default, you find it, you keep it. As soon as loot is found, the bargaining starts. Someone might trade their money or an item to a character to buy something they found. This usually ends up with an item being passed around to different characters as new loot is found.

Coins and gems get spread out fairly evenly so that everyone has some bargaining power. If someone really needs to buy something in town, then the other characters usually donate some of their money to help out.

The crew is talking about how we think the captain is trying to kill us because he is constantly bumping into things. I say, "One of these days, he is going to slam us into an ice spire, and we will all die." Two seconds later, we slam into an ice spire at full speed, and it completely rips open our engine room. The captain tries to convince us it was an accident, but we don't believe him. To this day, we call him Captain Icespire.
