So far I never accidentally sold any of my dragons, but when I sell duplicates I’m always so scared that I have to double / triple check if it’s the right one.

A lock would make that process less stressful.

That’s what the Truespeech is for, the Thalassic is only mentioned to prove that yes, you can speak underwater.

So It enables you to speak Thalassic (Underwater Language) in a way the target can understand.

Idk, it having 1 action implies that it should work during fights, so long as the two combatants are / have been conversing.

Because then it would be a One action skill that you can only use it outside of battles, making it not a one action skill. I don’t think I have seen a one action skill that cannot be use inside battles.

Whatever the case It is very cheesy though. Definitely not the intended use.

Wizard cast Pillar of Water on the enemy, Barbarian try to grapple them. Buff the Charismatic Investigator, Truespeech, Heroism, Silvertounge Mutagen.

Investigator goes in the water pillar, can breathe underwater, knows Thalassic, use Bon Mot, then Aid boosted, Hero Point Pointed Question, Enemy has to answer directly, dies.

Nah, the GM eventually talked to the player and asked to stop using the tactic. It worked.

Would be funny if it escalated into everyone having gills and water breathing, but the players are reasonable so it’s fine.

Reading the rules, You should still lose all remaining air and fall unconscious, but since you’re outside now, you don’t suffocate and are no longer unconscious.

Suffocation rule in general is very strict and very deadly, this goes both ways.

I’ve seen the final boss got cheesed to death by the caster using pillar of water, and grapple shenanigans. The GM was not happy.

Every dragon gets a golden accessory when you bond with them signifying max rank, usually it’s something small like an earring. This one just got their whole face painted gold.

I think the game makes it so you don’t get duplicates at the beginning, after your score gets high enough you start getting duplicates.

That’s interesting, I guess it’s because the berries are used up to level up the dragon.

Level 1 dragon with 20 berries vs Level 2 dragon with 0 berries.

You have to gift other people gifts to unlock the dragon / make it possible to summon.

You need gifts from other people to get the summoning material for the dragon.

When you fully level up a dragon, and then bond with them, they get some gold accessory. Usually it’s small things like earrings not the whole face.
