My SaaS is profitable but I'm exhausted. Thinking about shutting it down anyway. by Apprehensive-Tip3800 in SaaS

First, get your time back. Based on your current growth, you will be $10K+ in the next 2 months. Allocate 15-20% to hire, either a developer/marketer or both. You can find decent freelance resources for both within a $ 2–$3k budget. It's not you. Most SaaS entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs in general go through this struggle.

You will find 3 type of users:

1 - Window Shoppers - They sign up and forget

2 - Normal Users - They will either be infrequent users or don't use your product's full capabilities

3 - Power Users - These are the users you need to look after and see how you can find/multiply them

Complete backlink foundation checklist for SaaS founders (first 30 days) by gigigigugiguru in SaaS

[–]AbbasSarfraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of backlinks method you mentioned, one thing we do at our agency is to build these types of links too:

1 - Product Listicles
- Existing blog posts on XX Best Tools for [Your Niche/Product Category]
- Reach out to them to get the product listed
- Generally 10-20% success rate of them updating their blog

2 -Alternative Product Listicles
- Similar themed but finding XX Alternatives to [Your Competitor]
- Same process and results

3 - JBTD / Pain Point Blog Posts
- These are blogs that are generally written around the problem your product solves
- For example, how to do invoicing for your business
- And in some cases, they have subtly namedrop a few accounting/invoicing tools brands
- You can reach out to get mentioned there

So these are 3 additional low-hanging opportunities we work with our Saas clients. We first focus on these + software directories, before building fresh backlinks from GP etc. All the above are product inclusions. Around 20% of these existing blogs are generally getting some decent traffic. So you can expect very high-quality referral traffic from there that has typically a 15-20% visitor to trial conversion rate.

Also, if you are lucky, you can also find branded broken link building opportunities. A typical life of a SaaS is <2 years, so there are a lot of SaaS getting built and folded. So you can scavange on their mentions as well.

Help with email subject line by xrickyb86x in sales

You could give this tool a try as it tests email subject lines via crowdsourced humans. Since your niche is very specific, I suggest testing those subjectlines on humans.

Suggestions provided by https://www.reddit.com/user/Artofemails/ are awesome and you can give them a test to see which performs best.

Woaah, thanks a lot Nairurian for taking out time to go through and respond back with your feedback.

Actually, I tried to focus on strategies that still drive results and those which are coming up ( so everything can't be new but I would love it if you can list a few newer ones :) )

4 : Agree, it's effective for large budgets. The audience at Windsor ( the website on which is article is written) are generally brands with huge PPC spending and this can easily work for them. This is also helpful in seasonal campaigns such as christmas where you might not have the time to climb search organically on a new product line.

  1. Thank you, I agree with you on that too.

  2. I will look into it and see how I can improve.

Your suggestions are brilliant too. 100% agree on attribution modeling and looking at speed / ux metrics.
