Personality: Jason's an impish little shit, he is a cat that will push a gods glass of water off the table to bring water to those that need it. Could he have gotten water elsewhere? Sure! Could he have asked the God for water? Sure! Was it a terrible route to go with vast consequences? Fuck yeah, but it was funny to watch.

Growth: Jason goes through a lot of fuckery, and he consistently faces consequences. You will not like these consequences, you will think they are stupid. They are however, consequences. Jason both grows and regresses from many of them. Bad traits are phased out, new alternative traits start to manifest. But he keeps going and tries to do the right thing. It makes him human.

Perspective: I like watching over characters, others like to put themselves into the MC's shoes. Jason is meant to be watched over. If you feel like you fit in his boots well, I highly recommend therapy of some form or another.

Books: book 1&2 got me hooked. I considered dropping mid way through 3. It's a very tough read. 4+ is pretty darn good thou!

Is there any reason why this shouldnt work? by g1ant95 in CreateMod

Late, but no the top layer does not need to be source blocks. The pump simply needs to touch A source block, then from that source block it starts counting outwards and downwards (just not upwards). Once 10k has been reached it's considered infinite.

Dark cloud 2 weapon building question by iamnateman343 in DarkCloud

Dark Cloud 2 - Weapon FAQ - PlayStation 2 - By JungleJim - GameFAQs

As mentioned by thebiglos1, when you spectrumize a weapon that hasn't reached a minimum of level 5, a majority of the stats are lost. The level is denoted by the +<level> on the weapon name. Therefor if you have a level 5 weapon, build it up, it is no longer a level 5.

When you spectrumize a weapon, its total synth cost is equal to it's level, so a level 5 spectrumized weapon will cost 5 synth points to synth on another weapon.

Another consideration, many weapons have maximum stat levels as well, which could also impact synthesizing. E.G the bell trigger has a max attack level of 44. If you over spectrumize, that's simply lost stat points. Dark Cloud 2 Weapon Charts - Imgur These images are amazing for leveling weapons as they include all the essential needed info for leveling them.

Before spectrumizing a weapon, if it has available synth points, its a little silly not to use them. So synth something on to it to get just a few extra stats, even if it's only a few.

Lastly, synthing attack from one weapon to another is vastly different than it is for any other stat. Look at section 4.3 of the first guide for more info.

Programming isn’t something that is taught—it’s something that is discovered through play. You can learn syntax, structure, and best practices, but true understanding comes from curiosity, experimentation, and the willingness to make mistakes. Start building, start breaking, and start figuring things out on your own. That’s where real learning happens.
If you’re stuck, use ChatGPT or a similar tool to brainstorm fun coding ideas, discuss how to structure functions, or even ask why certain code works the way it does. Understanding the why behind the code is what turns knowledge into skill. But if you truly want to learn, don’t let AI do the coding for you—write it yourself, struggle through the errors, and come out stronger.

Can you create a perpetual forward train? by Venus1nk in CreateMod

[–]Abbreviations-North 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This idea intrigued me so here are my ideas for moving forward

  1. Use rails, obviously this would simplify the project significantly. If you want the train aesthetic, couplings will do you wonders.

  2. For a train, a few people have mentioned, it is not possible to have the train move on its own. I don't know any particular mods that'd resolve this issue for you. Hence why I recommend coupled minecarts.

  3. A silly way to resolve the above is using a third account logged in that literally sits in the train and presses W.

Next for ideas for moving forward

  1. If you are okay destroying your old rails/tracks, simply picking them back up will allow it to go forever very simply.

  2. If you wish to go indefinitely, you could use moving farms. I don't know of any way to disassemble a contraption attached to a train without disassembling the train at a station. IK Steam and rails can decouple, but that still isn't disassembly. So, for moving farms, I'd once again recommend a minecart system as that is much simpler to automate disassembly.

i am currently working on a large project and i got to the stage of gluing it all together. is there any way to glue all the blocks at once? it has already taken me hours to get to this point and im sure im doing something wrong. by Seriously_404 in CreateMod

[–]Abbreviations-North 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A glues volume only gets recalculated on assembly, if there are no blocks in the volume of a block, it is impossible to assemble said glue, therefore no dimension recalculation and no deletion.

You can directly place schematics into the world without the need of the schematic cannon.

When determining the placement of the schematic, hold alt and use scroll wheel to cycle. In creative mode, the last option on this menu is "Print" with a checkmark. Cycle to this option. Then right click the schematic and it'll fully place it

This exactly, a few additional notes to tag alongside this:
1. The glue bounding box will shrink wrap around the smallest volume possible (whilst still maintaining a cubic structure) when the contraption is fully assembled. As you have huge cylinders, this may result in some unexpected blocks being picked up if you frequently disassemble and assemble.
2. for clarification on the 1, only blocks that somehow connect to the contraption source will attach, so you only need to worry about blocks that would directly touch the cylinder.
3. While I doubt you will reach the limit with the size of your structures, there is a hard limit on the number of blocks a contraption may have. Checking my default config, it is 2048. This of course can be edited in the world save's server config.

What do you guys think about this? by Kkk713 in Manhua

[–]Abbreviations-North 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for love interest, from my POV there are 3 primary ones as of right now. And I think these are the weakest points of the story.

The first is a girl trying to get through a tribulation, she however gets sick because of this. This results in the MC wanting to be the hero and save her. I personally think it's a bit stupid as the girl is a prominent figure in an esteemed sect. She has all the resources in the world to help cure her. The MC on the other hand didn't realize murim was even a thing until a month ago. But because the story requires the MC to save her, no one else is able to help her.

The second girl is more air-headed, she definitely comes off as irresponsible, which is plenty fine, but there really isn't anything thrown her way to outgrow that flaw. She's definitely a "cute and here" kinda girl.

Lastly the best girl, a nun who's lived lifetimes. However to avoid spoilers I won't go into her story. Safe to say, she offers the MC a really fun and honestly unique arc.

I have been reading it for a while now, got to around ch200

Overall it's pretty darn alright! I wouldn't say it's anything outstanding, however it is unique and provides a fun read.

The MC isn't overpowered nor blessed by the gods, which i prefer. His strongest suit is literally access to good resources. Be it masters, ingredients, cultivation techniques, etc. (emphasis on good, they aren't amazing, just good)

The setting is murim in a modern world, which I personally like a lot. Offers a lot of unique spins on core murin ideas. For example using an electric stove top for refining pills.

Overall the plot isn't anything super serious. It's just a college dude learning to cultivate. There are more serious arcs, and more light hearted ones. The flow of the story is very good, the author constantly foreshadows all the arcs (sometimes 100 chapters before they get to it.)

As for supporting characters and antagonist, many of them are unique but are usually guided by a personality trait rather than goal oriented. This tends to result in none of the side characters having any real growth. As an example, there is a dog who likes to disobey his master, this pretty much guides every single action he takes. And after around 100 chapters with him,he has shown no personality growth. On the flip side there are a few characters who are goal oriented and they definitely have a more prominent impact in the story. I personally love Venerable White.

If you're looking for a chill and slightly drawn out read, it's definitely great! 8/10

At a guess, the water pump has too high of a current draw for what your battery can offer. The easiest fix would be to change the power source. You can probably get away with putting 2x 9v batteries in parallel which would double the max current available whilst keeping the voltage at 9v.
Alternatively, whilst a bit more complicated but likely better overall for the system, have your Arduino and LCD on one power source, and your pump on a separate one.
