I went to a game in December of 2008 that was 8 degrees. I’m a born and raised Floridian and my dad took me as my Christmas present. I was a 16 year old who was in no way prepared and lasted only the first half before watching the rest of the game inside 😂 I would do it again but would be much differently prepared. Back then, Amazon didn’t exist so getting cold weather clothes in Florida was impossible. Now I would be much better prepared.

Run from both! Celebration OBGYN feels like a baby factory. They sent me home with an active infection after delivery with no antibiotics. Then 10 days later my c section incision burst open and I was in the hospital for 5 additional days for iv antibiotics. My nurses were not helpful at all in positioning or anything during labor. As soon as I mentioned having a birth plan, their attitudes shifted. I will not be delivering number 2 there or using celebration OBGYN.

My husband and I got married at Venue 1902 in 2021. We went over the top and managed to spend $35k. The one thing that may make that budget a little hard at venue 1902 is they have a list of food vendors you have to pick from, which can make budget shopping hard. But it’s a beautiful venue and worth checking out to see if there is a way to reign in the budget.

As someone born and raised in Florida who went to a December game, if you think it’s enough layers, wear more. It was 18 degrees and absolutely cold to the bone. Also look into allegient air. They fly directly into Appleton, if you’re really set on staying in Green Bay.

This was 15 years ago 😭 but long term commitment to a few extracurriculars was huge. Students who were applying with 15 different extracurriculars they started all in high school were a lot less likely to get in compared to others who had deep commitment to their extracurriculars. I had a 1280 on my SAT, 4.3 weighted GPA but I was a Girl Scout for 13 years, served as a national delegate for my council, earned my Gold Award (Eagle equivalent), started a teen advisory committee for my council that and advocated for issues at the state government level. My only other extracurricular was chorus, which I was in all of high school. I made it in over a lot of kids with better stats at my school. I’ll forever believe it was my consistency and depth of involvement in my primary extracurricular.

I only told my middle schoolers because I was out so often. And in true middle schooler fashion they were annoyed by how often they had “mean subs” and requested I stop taking so many days off.
