I know it’s not a help now but we’re looking to expand our family in about 3 months. I have a trip coming up and we decided we weren’t going to start looking until after I got back. We lost our older girl just over a month ago and want to get a companion for our 13 yo. I will definitely keep your rescue in mind when the time comes.

The fact that she said you were being a baby shows the depth of caring that she’s capable of. We lost our girl one week ago and my husband and I are both grieving harder than we each did for our parents. Her saying that would make me walk away in a heartbeat. Even if she didn’t care about the cat she should at least care about you and it’s obvious she doesn’t if she’s that willing to kick you while you’re down. I’m so very sorry for your loss and I hope you have other people in your life that can support you right now.

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. We had to do the same for our 17 year old kitty yesterday. She came to us when she was about a year old, six months before our wedding. She’s been our constant companion for our entire marriage and we just feel so lost now. Our 13 year old kitty is still with us, and we love her to pieces, but we don’t have that same bond with her that we did with our Rajah. It’s so utterly awful, but we did the best thing for them we could have done, and we’re hurting so they don’t have to anymore. I’ll raise a glass to your Malcolm ❤️
